This thread was predicated on Trump somehow being good for poker because he’s good for the overall economy even though no economic numbers or trends from his first term made that argument even pre covid incompetence. Of course it’s within the spirit of the thread to blame him for anything that happens in his term given he was getting for stuff that didn’t even happen.

1.Spirit filed BK in 2024 and was torching money post COVID - had nothing to do with Trump
2.Inflation is actually very low YTD - it was insanely high in 2022 under Biden along with the stock market having its biggest lost since 2008
3.Average gas is still under what it was in 2022 during Biden's Presidency
4.Even with everything that Trump is doing the stock market is up ahead of expectation and is expected to beat its 30 year average

There are less high rollers running this year and less players at all the high rollers I’ve been to. Pokergo would have two big plo series a year and replaced it with a mid stakes series and hasn’t released a summer schedule four weeks away from wsop (they’ve had high rollers over summer for well over a decade I think)

Can’t imagine being a small stakes player in us. Imagine going to a tournament to pay 20% rake with fuel / flight costs where they are on top of any other expenses BEFORE tax. Buy in levels that can produce literally no long term winners
