I pay for a full size recycling bin. I put the recycling out the night before. Half the time the recycling does not come and I drag it back to the house.

I am doing my best here and being let down by the Rumke mafia.

Are you sure that recycling isn't bi-weekly? Mine is.

My gummint don't require us simpletons to worry about no recycling. We got bigger things to think about. It's a load off!

This never occurred to me, glad I brought it up.

I would like to amend my complaint to say that it is very annoying that they only pick up the recycling every other week.

It's not a requirement, this is Ohio. I'm the only person around with the full size bin. I just have a lot of cardboard to get rid of.

My trash is picked up every Monday and Thursday. Recyclables are the first and third Wednesday of the month. Makes for overflowing bins when we have 5 Wednesdays like in April.

I would love to have a separate bin for cardboard as I have far too much of it from Amazon and Costco. I have to either break it down to put it in a garbage bag or just put it out and hope traffic or animals don't get to it before the garbage guys do. Maddening.

As much as I like to bitch about them, I think our garbage guys are the hardest working SOBs around. Those guys hustle non-stop. I don't know how often they get breaks, but when they're working they're really working.

LOL @ different bins. Everything gets picked up here Mondays and Thursdays, but Thursdays are "heavy trash" days (which everyone ignores, of course).

When I lived in Indianapolis, where one had to pay extra for a recycling bin, I discovered that all the trash and recycling were getting sorted the same way once they got to the main facility, on the same line even. So I was paying extra to help the company out by doing some pre-sorting for them. What a scam.

This is a silly analogy. Not everyone has easy access to enjoyable and safe walking/running areas with agreeable weather. Treadmills have other features like for example you can do only uphill and no downhill. Or watch a video while you run and not have to worry about watching where you're going, etc.
