I read that Mexican cartels were flying drones in US airspace around the airport and military base. They also reported that they have disabled those drones and lifted the closure. Since the closure and flight diversions had taken place, I am guessing it will be hours and probably a full day to resume normal operations.

According to this article, it may have been an internal snafu rather than cartel drones in this case.

The days of routinely dumping fuel are long gone...and it was never a practice in civil aviation. My father flew the A-3 (the "Whale") off of the USS Independence (CV-62) and it was very common in the early 60s to dump fuel to get down to a lighter trap weight. I'd be surprised if that's done in anything except an emergency now.

Well, thanks for asking. My last CT Scan (January?) showed that what remains of my liposarcoma tumor actually shrunk a small amount. I'm scheduled to have another CT Scan done in about 3 weeks. The results of that scan will determine what, if any, further treatment is done.

Meanwhile, I've been feeling great and just enjoying every day. I'm even back to playing golf once a week.
