President Donald Trump

President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

I heard it'd take a long time to create a new bill.

So they'd definitely try to rush it through, as cheap a possible, and in true Trump form, do a **** job. Forgers will probably just be able to photocopy them.

Trump threatening to perform. No doubt air jerking a couple of ***** to YMCA repeatedly.

Funny how he insults himself and MAGA by saying he booked third rate artists to celebrate the 250th anniversary.

I mean it’s one of his few good policies.

Covid would not have gotten such a foothold if any other president was in office at the time.

Possibly, but who really knows.

We know trump not wielding enough power over the people as dems were hoping for via his hesitation to force people to wear masks, stand 6 feet part, get the vax and he didn’t shut down the economy as fast, as long or as hard as dems wanted which all lead to more people getting Covid early.

However, this also gave a lot of people natural immunity so late in Covid it helped slow the spread. On top of that trump is likely the only possible President that would have put the interest of Americans over foreigners by drastically reducing people coming into the US with border enforcement and travel bans. Being a repub likely helped in speeding up the process of getting vax since the 15 years leading up to Covid dems went hard to the paint making people believe pharma companies are evil and trying their best to place as much regulation on them as they could.

I'm pretty sure you don't know the difference between state and federal. Hint: Trump doesn't get to decide how a state does or does not handle covid. I have to think you're either trolling or retaaded.

You may want to reread my post you were reposting to. I said trump allowed states to make some of their own rules around COVID. Dems were very upset by this because they think the President should have way more power and trump just wasn’t/isn’t power hungry like them.

by Land O Lakes

Also, the only difference between Trump 1.0 and 2.0 is Trump had too many people around him who had limits to their sycophancy during his 1st term. Now that the guardrails are off, it's pretty clear, even for tardos, that Trump is the most power-hungry, corrupt president ever to hold the office.

Power hungry leaders don’t fight their tails off reducing the amount of power they have by trying to cut the size of the fed govt and give more power to states and the people.

I'm sure you can back this up with links, eh?

He's increasing his amount of power by dismantling the government. You've been propagandized and are too obtuse to realize it.

Good example since Trump is doing none of those things.

Power hungry leaders, like Trump, want to increase the size of the defense budget by nearly 50%, control state elections by passing the SAVE act and allowing his billionaire buddies to consolidate ownership of media.

His "cut the size of the fed govt" is simply cutting programs that help people.

Thanks for the laugh, as always.

“He’s making the oligarchs more powerful, therefore he isn’t power hungry.”

It does not appear that Trump is doing this. His record-breaking use of executive orders certainly argues otherwise, and his megalomania is cartoonishly obvious.

I think you are being way too naive to assume he doesn’t ’realize it.’

He absolutely does, this is what he wants

US was 16th in deaths per capita, UK was 19th.

Damn, Canada was 87th, we should be able to do better than that.. 😀

Still no one's told the moron he has to take these tests because he shows clear signs of dementia.

I was listening to something about this earlier, about MAGA cultism, why they just accept anything Trump says is the truth. I think this is one of the studies they referenced.

But wait, we can't call them stupid or dumb! We're supposed to coddle them like babies and say nothing is their fault. Otherwise, they'll have no choice but to huff and puff and vote MAGA again because we're being too mean.

Facts over feelings, unless it's their feelings.

It appears that Trump's Anti-Weaponization fund was too much even for Senate Republicans.

He didn't really have a hissy fit about it either. Interesting.

If it's money that's going to wind up in other people's pockets without being funneled back to him, then he'll be a little less attached to the idea.

Bill Pulte, yeah the grandson of the Pulte Homes guy, is now serving in Gabbard's spot. Qualification for being Acting Director of National Intelligence: grandson of some wealthy dude.

Low population density.

You really need to step up your Trump fluffing if you aspire to that sort of position.

Is the entire settlement negated or just the fund?

Because if the fund is dissolved but the IRS is still banned from coming after the trumps for past returns then this is an indisputable win since it’s not like he was getting 1.7bn

by 57 On Red

Low population density.

That's a VERY common misconception. I believe it's about 80% of Canada's population that lives in urban centres and closest to the US border. Get a couple of hundred miles north of the border and population density is much lower. Compare the major population centers of Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal to similar centers in the US and you will see the difference.

The real reason is Canadian's access to public health care, much better acceptance of vaccination directives, public trust and far less co-morbidities in the general population. Most of Europe which has high population density compared to the US had better results.

Very densely populated countries like Singapore, the UK, South Korea and Japan, compared to the US all had lower rates of death.

It is well documented that dems were upset trump didn’t rule with an iron fist during Covid as they saw Covid as the perfect excuse to take govt control to the next level. Shutting more of the economy down for longer would have been a great way to destroy more businesses and create more unemployment which leads to more people dependent on the govt.

Oh of course, trump ran the the ol’ spread power around to states, including to state govts that will do the complete opposite of what trump is doing and not taking choices away from the people power grab. Classic power grab. People think they have more power because they were free to choose to get a vax or wear a mask but in reality trump gained power because people were able to make choices.

Don’t forget that trump cutting taxes left the govt (that he is running) with less money is also a power grab because the people end up with more money and the govt gets less and everyone knows mo money mo problems as the notorious BIG taught us.
