2026 World Series of Poker May 26th - July 15th
I would love to see Tianle Wang go deep. He was to my right yesterday morning and played really really well before being moved elsewhere, going from ~2.5mm to over 7 in our first level of the day. Was hard to shake loose with 3 bets - it wasn’t until I went from 3mm to 2mm trying to make him fold and starting jamming on him that I could make him fold. For someone with $100k on hendon he was very impressive.
WSOP bipolar. One day infinite time, next day, this.
Huge disadvantage to amateurs.
Floor can easily referee a handful of tables. Kinda craze, at least make the banks 1min...
Is it really a that much of a disadvantage to amateurs when it's the pros that are often the ones tanking forever?
Amateurs act faster by nature. Pros will have to adjust more.
Absolutely horrible decision to implement shot clocks right now.
Even more shocking it's 30 secs clocks.
For this year as said before it should be at the floor discretion and then next year implent them.
If the goal is to stop the insane tanking , why put only 30 secs per street?
A minute minimum, maybe 1min30, idk.
Garbage decision.
A problem could be all tanking for a minute every time. Sad story.
WSOP will never be the same. Those lengthy agonizing tankings, not for pay jumps, but how to actually play the hand. I'll miss them.
Honestly there doesn’t seem to be much to root for in this year’s ME.
Almost all of the “name” players left are pretty dislikeable (maybe except for FBT).
And it’s very discouraging to see no women in the top 50 of the tournament, especially after a notable woman finally made the FT last year and the subsequent bump in female participation this time around.
Go deeb!

Yeah I just had a scan of the chip counts and it's not great. I'm rooting for Deeb and Ensan, but it's not like previous years.
There's also a lack of a villian to root against so far. These really made previous broadcasts, think Will Kassouf or Tiffany Michelle back in the day.
As far as the last remaining female busting yeah that was a nothing burger. Although Margets last year was many levels above this one cos everybody likes her and was rooting for her.
The YouTube stream just went down?

Meh, givens is the villain I am rooting against. He's a little too arrogant for my liking especially when he wins a hand he was behind in but gets there
What times this starting at? Nothing on YouTube in UK
I have everything muted anyway, and don't want text to obscure the hands. So not always sure which stream is on, but yes the french is working.
Mike Sexton taught me in 2003 that they say "Tapis" in France when they go all in and I need to finally now hear it for real.
Winamax rocks. I'm actually watching the WSOP free and learning French!
he's tanking when they're nowhere near the pay jump edit--wrong he was on the line didn't know it from the telecast though but with all the clocks it's not as much incentive
announcers this is so funny hate the game not the player
you're not helping
he's mostly just hurting himself if he wins this hand though, equity of those things I'd rather protect in case you really need it later
The remainder of the stall game is still on.
we're doing full blown advertisements with interviews with platt. I can't man.
I'm fine with clock not starting while you get a count but if you are clearly covered, it's a little absurd, but I also understand it would be tough to define "clearly" covered.
kinda nuts at this point in the main event, belekov's bustout hand was on a feature table and we didn't see it
