--The MSM is going to make "Islamophobia" the angle, and probably blame Trump. But if you dig a little deeper (which is hard because MSM leaves these inconvenient details out) it turns out the suspect has perpetrated several violent crimes over the last few years.
Guess what, when you allow repeat offender violent criminals to walk the streets, you are going to get more violent hate crimes too. All the violence isn't going to just be random.

Police said the suspect told them he "intends to kill Muslims"
The suspect said "he had targeted the victim with intent to kill him because of his religion (Muslim)," according to the police booking affidavit.
The suspect approached the Muslim man, asked for his name, asked about his religion

Also and I'm not saying I disbelieve you but where are you getting that the victim is a violent offender? It's not Elon's X is it? How do you know this wasn't random, are you implying the suspect knew the victim, despite asking his name and religion beforehand and that the victim was targeted due to his alleged violent past? I read it this way first as well but Dunyain isn't saying the victim had a violent past but that the suspect did. That's not to say that his post isn't still ridiculous though - this attack was very clearly motivated by Islamophobia and as far as I can tell the "several violent crimes" committed previously by the suspect is actually a single instance of setting his own yard on fire and threatening to shoot police officers/firefighters who attended to it before eventually giving himself up peacefully; for which he was sentenced to jail for 1-15 years (which seems a bizarrely wide range) and got parole after ~2. I guess Dunyain just things all violent criminals should be in jail forever with no option of parole.

Yeah that was my bad, I clarified I was mistaken in another post, and as you noted, this msm article- contrary to Dun's claim on msm leaving such things out- states he was convicted of the incident you mention
