2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
No, they don't have good games every week.. But the top 12-18 are generally pretty consistent and have solid floors. It's the WRs 19 through something like 48-60 that are the volitale ones.
JSN only had one week last season of scoring single digit .5 PPR points. AJB had 7 but only 2 in the final 7 weeks of the year, when the Eagles started force feeding him, which is what I expect his role to be in NE. DeVonta is a little more volatile, but we expect him to earn more targets this season, especially to start the year as Lemon ramps up.
Based on ADP, jimmy's team bet on JSN, AJB, and DeVonta to all be top 12 WRs this season. If they are, then they can carry Nabers. If not, this team is probably dead anyways, even if you add someone like Sutton or Doubs or Pittman, etc.
And then if AJB, JSN, DeVonta are paying off, so are Maye, Hurts, and Darnold. Then hopefully that brings Hendo, Goedert, and Barner. And then that's how stacking carries through.
Then you have Ridley and Bateman who you are betting on adding a few useable weeks throughout the year, ideally before Nabers is back, if necessary. Because in the playoffs, you're expecting JSN, AJB, DeVonta and Nabers to all be hitting the lineup anyways, whether you have 6 or 7 WRs.
And then what if Nabers is actually ready week 1? Which I know isn't the expectation, but if he is, then you really don't want a 7th WR on this team.
Week 11 could be tricky with your top two WR’s off. I’d feel better with a seventh WR. It can work.
I've stopped caring about byes. Maybe it's a leak, but I really don't think they matter much over the volume of a portfolio, even on a team like this. I'm just trying to draft what I think is the best team each draft. But I guess easier for me to say drafting 1k teams.

Nice! Hopefully there aren't too many purely Arg/Spain teams out there. Your team 2 is pretty close to pure.
Doing 150 lineups for the Open tomorrow. I'll post my highest leverage plays once I figure them out.
Haha gl, I’m doing 1
This is a big parlay but if it all comes together I’m gonna win big
I have no clue how to post the professional draft screenshots you guy’s post. My apologies.

Etienne falling on the Kamara contract restructure is an incredible bit by the community.
I was taking ETN a lot at the 2/3 turn lately, and at this rate, I'll probably be able to get him at 3/4 turn before long.
I'm watching Pete's bash and he went 42 in a BBM.
Does Josh Allen normally go in the 4th on UD?
Pat and Sack draft more weird teams with the sidekick. $555 too, which has a pretty standard advance structure of 2/12 x 2/8 x 1/8 = 52

I dig their RB rooms, and want to do more fragile rooms like that where the RB4 is someone much later.
But I have a hard time getting behind 4+ TEs unless they're literally your last picks.
Agreed, TE strategy is definitely my biggest issue. I’d like both more if they ended at 3 and allocated those picks elsewhere.
The 4 RB rooms are fun when hammering it early with at least the first 3. Sidekick has been suggesting it all summer, so clearly it’s simming well.
Still need to watch the Pat/Shaidy top guy Tuesday stream. They also drafted a $555.
I don’t think I like your teams in this experiment haha. But fun to try it out. Your first RB/RB is probably my favorite of the 3.
Meanwhile, another shitty DK promo for best ball week. Supposedly they’ll be dropping a first come, first serve promo around lunchtime today on X.
