Nacho Barbero uses GTO Wizard while playing on ACR

Someone should get his Hand History and see if it's GTO approved. Does sharkscope still have ACR hand history anymore It's been a while.

Pads did an investigation using Nacho's GTO wiz account history and had all hands he played in that tournament. Says he did not see evidence of cheating.

He's probably cheating. And either way this a terrible look for a poker site at a time people are rightfully concerned about this sort of thing. Even if it was a legit mistake the prudent thing to do is cut ties.

I mean, look at what the GTO tells you to do short-stacking. I don't know if I can't re-wire my brain, or I'm too old, but some of it seems like very odd.

Punishing one guy doesn’t change the weather, if one guy is able to easily cheat thousands will, the system to catch cheating is flawed itself but here people are trying to punish one guy who might be even innocent lol think this way if someone really cheats he will make sure to not leak anything but whatever people always were stupid

i thought it was mentioned he was ghosting students , so have the hands been analyzed of these students compared to the Wizard app also ? maybe he was giving them real time info.

Best EV would be to punish the **** out of nacho and let that be a warning to what will happen to others if they are caught. Not even mentioning the fact that he would do this as a sponsored pro? Also the alternative is you look weak on cheaters or atleast cheaters you sponsor? **** outta here.

Best EV for who? for players or for that company? so you're trying to help ACR to solve this issue with easy move, to just ban 1 guy? who might be even innocent, you must be working for that company...

You're punishing a guy not because he used a cheat, you're punishing a guy because GTO wizard showed up in the screenshot, by this you're sending a message "you can cheat but don't be stupid like this guy, just hide it and don't leak it"

Most players here use GTOwizard and im sure some of them have it open while playing, this doesn't mean they're actually cheating, I'm not advocating or defending Nacho, this is the truth what i'm saying and you can't blindly go against it, just let them prove that Nacho was actually cheating and only after that they should ban him but generally problem will stay the same, there must be a system to detect cheating

Are you trying to argue that now that Nacho has been caught “not cheating” others who ARE cheating will know better than to post photos of an open solver while playing online? Your argument being that previously it wouldn’t have occurred to these other “sharks” who ARE cheating to not post photos of an open solver while playing online but now they know not to because Nacho is hearing mean things said about him because he posted a photo of an open solver while playing online, even though he wasn’t cheating, and he’s the victim because people are saying he was cheating? Is that what you are saying?

Or are you saying that because Nacho is not the only person cheating it is patently absurd to punish him for cheating, just as it would be stupid and useless to prosecute someone who shoplifts because lots of other people are also shoplifting. Is that what you are saying?

You are the wall here. What on earth does ''it will be better job to ban real cheaters'' even mean? ACR can conclude what ever they want, this is just a bad look period. People like you are the reason people like Nacho get away with murder.

A real investigation would take a lot of time and be kept on the down-low. A competent player isn't going to sit there and use GTOW on every play and have their history match solved trees. They would only use it here and there in critical spots. Basically just skimming a little extra edge here and there that would add up over time. I don't even think you could catch someone using it in this way.

Coz he's a goofball! Everyone who knows him knows he wouldn't defend cheaters. He was probably just doing a theoretical exercise in how he'd defend cheaters.

There is no cheating in sense of poker game. I am pretty sure about it. He played according to rules of poker.
It is not about "cheating" the rules of game.

He broke TOS (following part and maybe more...) by using prohibited tool during game.

Even if he wasn't using it to cheat, he should still get punished for having it open whilst playing.

Exactly! This is what I wanted to communicate but had some wording problem to put it clearly like that.

Also, if every revealed cheater is properly "punished", it will discourage at least some part of potential cheaters. Of course, like with crime, this will not stop everybody from cheating (and/or crime) but it can significantly reduce the numbers and also it is the right thing to do.
