OOTV doesnt like family comedies much huh? Raising Hope and The Middle are two of the best(possibly the best outside of NBC)comedies on tv yet no threads.

the Mexican widow. her character is horrible. she is awful to cooper
political messaging is blunt, silly, and crude(see what I did there)
4 of the 5 female characters are absurd/lame
For all the posters that think bewbs makes a better show, then just watch Ballers. There's also a lot of Vegas in one season.
How about The Deuce, it was actually a good show, but this bar is getting really low.
Was Ballers good? It's on my list but I'd totally forgotten about it.
Sports Entourage was undoubtedly the pitch for the show
I recall it as ok to good for 25 minutes, once a week. As a binge show? Probably not. Never as good as the premise. Always held back from real nastiness because it needed famous people to guest.
Lol, Entourage also on my watch list. I quit somewhere in the middle, but it's been so long the entire series will be new to me.
This new season of White Lotus is amazing
mark, entourage is 100x better than ballers and definitely worth a watch a very bingeable
the people are dumb, their problems are simple, every barrier they face is due to their own incompetence - there's zero character growth or development
but it's infectiously fun to watch with beautiful women in every scene
ballers tried to capture that magic and while it was entertaining enough to for me to watch through, it fell off incredibly hard in later seasons and just got super cringe and i got angry at myself for watching, i don't even recall how it ended because it was just more having it on in the background seething at how absurd everything was getting and how they just wanted everything to be such absurdly high stakes etc that i just put it on and ignored it

Complete agree Entourage is 100x Ballers despite Ballers just trying to repeat Entourage's exact formula. And Entourage is about as far out on the spectrum of mindless drivel that I am willing to watch.
Succession > Banshee obv. Never seen an episode of Banshee. Based on Lounge movies thread I have distinctly opposite tastes of mrbaseball in any sort of media.

i recall him getting like a billion dollar percentage of a tv network just because he was banging the mom of a top recruit - was just so forced, just a pure mary sue element

Spencer was forced out of that deal and then tried to get the college players paid (spoiler... they are currently being paid).
He then went on to own the Chefs, paid Mahomes a fully guaranteed contact, and then lobbied for lifetime insurance.
It's really not that bad.

Granted expectations were probably very high since it hit most things I'm interested in, but it failed to deliver spectacularly.
I'm not sure I even finished the first season.
I started The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey last night. Pretty great. Started at 10pm thinking I'd watch one episode before bed. Couldn't stop. 4 episodes later I finally made myself stop as I had things to do this morning and didn't want to be sleeping til noon.
