What's the deal with eggs?

What's the deal with eggs?

Now I don't think this will catch on like the highly entertaining "What's the deal with cereal?" thread, but a lot can h

I wouldn't advise it if you're fighting a hangover...but since I had breakfast/lunch at 11 am, I was able to cope with it. :P

It really does look good.

Does pineapple work mixed in or am I trying to get too fancy and just need a side of fruit?

When you boil them are you putting them in the water before you heat it up or are you putting them in boiling water? If you put them in water that is already boiling it makes it much easier to peel them.

BINGO! This is the solution I have been looking for 😀 I had been starting in cold water instead of boiling water.

Wanted to make a batch of egg salad so I used this guys method rather than my old method and each egg peeled quickly, easily and perfectly! Looks like there is a lot more egg salad and deviled eggs in my future 😀

Eggcelent!

Just got my first shipment of the season too! $0/doz, but I buy them meal worms and snacks all the time during the year.

Opened face lettuce, tomato and egg salad on toast.

I love egg salad!

love tomato
love egg salad
never thought to have them both on the same sandwich in those ratios until now
thank you

very creamy and apparently heavy on the mustard?
what what was your mix this time?

My recipe is 9 eggs, 2 tablespoons of mayo, 2 tablespoons of mustard, 1/2 finely chopped red onion, and an unspecified amount of Paprika ( a couple of shakes?) and then after the fact salt and pepper.

That looks pretty nuts.

When you want a sandwich but also want to open a face.

I got room in my face for one of those, nice work.

No cheese?

I'm pretty sure I've never had nor seen cheese onna egg-salad. Hmm, maybe a smear of cream cheese, though...

Oh come on... Havarti or Provolone all day long.

I don't think it's a bad idea, I just have never thought to do it, or seen it done. I like the idea of a smear of CC on a nice soft challah or similar, and a bunch of mustard in my ES mix...

only cheese i might even consider on egg salad is a bit of shredded parm romano or something similar

No cheese?

Never did cheese with egg salad? Then again I will be eating egg salad the rest of this weekend and it is likely worth a cheese experiment 😀

Melted on toast? Or straight on soft bread? Who knows maybe try both, all I have I Cheddar or Swiss. I'm thinking Swiss is a better compliment?

I have some parm too although I would have to shred it. I am still not sure egg salad needs cheese? It's pretty perfect without it.

that was not a recommendation
more a salvage plan after poor decisions

Very mustardy, but I like that. I like 1 tablespoon mayo to 1 tsp mustard to 1 tsp sweet relish, then smear on seedy bread and top with pickled red onions, romaine, and tomato, personally

I always like to sub spicy pickles for sweet relish. In tuna, since I've never made egg salad. Yet.

typically mayo 1:2 mustard but will also give the bread a light mayo schmear before assembling if going sandwich style

Ok fancy play guy 😀

Eggs without cheese, even eggs in an ensalada, is like a day without sunshine...

sweet potato hash with onions and red bell peppers, topped with sunnyside up eggs and chipotle ketchup:

👍
