New fast food discussion/review thread

OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

Nice.

Has anyone tried the new Berry Frosty yet? I'm going to within a week I'd say definitely.

It’s very good.

Scored my first "sport team wins, get free food" promo at mcdonalds yesterday - free mcchicken with $2 purchase!!

Got a small fry for like $2.50. Great snack. I was thinkin chinese food, but my cheapskate kicked in, plus the chinese place was across a busy intersection.

Looks unlikely I'll be redeeming all 10 free charburger coupons. 6 days, 7 coupons left. I think I can go for 5, especially now that I know they have good onyon rangs

This thread reminded me I have an Arby's incredibly close that I don't go to enough.

Tried the app, was pleased to see I don't need a dang account just to buy food. Quick and easy. Well done.

Awful value compared to the $5.99 original chicken sandwich, but almost everything at Popeye's is awful value other than the sandwich so here we are.

Not listed on the menu, but a "2-piece snack" is generally on the register as an insane value. 2 pieces of fried chicken of your choice and a biscuit for $4.99 at my nearest location. I go "spicy, white meat" with a breast and a whole wing, but if you are hungrier, you can ask for two breasts, at least at my regular location.

Cracks me up when I see the poster for a leg and a thigh plus biscuit for $5 only on Tuesdays, or whatever, and meanwhile you can get the same deal, with pieces of your choice, every damn day.

What a scam. Everything is made up.

That is indeed a big step up from basically 3 whole-wings for $7. It's still annoying though that even using that deal, adding one side for $4.50 has you over $10 after-tax for a two-piece-one-side-no-drink meal.

Yeah, that's why I never get a side.

Not listed on the menu,

reminds me of TB and that you can still buy the Cravings boxes ($5.99) as an "online exclusive" but you can't order them at the store. You don't have to be a TB rewards member or anything special like that, all you have to do is place the order online. I don't get it but w/e.

whopper is the best burger around imo, the combination of the bun, the flame broiled etc, its incredible

Carls JR has great burgers, maybe better, but more expensive.

Wendys is good for cheap stuff, but Whoppers are the best

havent tried off the grille lately, but seems like a good idea if you have the time.

I must disagree. In n Out and Whataburger are better imo.

I must disagree. In n Out and Whataburger are better imo.

Both of these are hyper local chains, at the opposite ends of the spectrum.

Going by taste, BK has anything at innout beat imo. I'd rather a whopper with cheese than a double double, as controversial as that take may be.

Also bks fries are 98x better than in n o

Tried out the Triple Berry Frosty and holy cow is it Berry infused flavor. Glad I tried it out but I prefer the regular frosty.

I'd go Orange Creamsicle >> Regular > Triple Berry

I can get someone thinking In n Out burger patties are too thin or whatever, but I find them tasty, and they perfectly toast the buns to boot.

The varied reactions to In n Out fries I cannot fathom. I guess we all do like different things in our fries.

Different fried potato sticks for different folks.

As the saying goes.

i was reminded today of Braum's
started OK then quickly tornadoed towards KS, MO, AR, TX

ice cream products are the reason to visit but i remember their burgers being exceptional
curious if others have any recent experience.

I'm from Oklahoma. Braum's used to be super-elite and has slid back a little consistency-wise. Still good, I still stop when I'm in the Braum's zone, but it's not a can't-miss.

thanks Aces
was also sentenced to OK for a period of time, but got paroled decades ago

Ooh I've seen a Braum's when I visit my dad in AR, I'm heading there in August will try to remember to check it out.

There's a Braum's right up the road from me, a 20 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. My mom likes their ice cream and the cool paper bags they use. It has a good rep here among the locals (Springfield, MO). Or should I say yokels! Haha jk, hillbilly humor.

$7 medium big Mac meal in app, replacing the $6 daily double/mcdouble meal.

Might have to make an unscheduled visit

But, it's Whopper Wednesday!

Just had one ($3) plus Halfsies and a Coke - $8.88

Pulled into Golden Corral at 3:50pm!

I was sweating stop and go traffic.

New contender for the crown of worst value in fast food: Taco Bell's giant Cheez-it. I ordered the crunchwrap but they gave me (and charged me for) the tostada, $3.99

It wasn't any more substantial than it looks in the photo. Pretty tasty but $1 a bite seems excessive for what it is.

BK burgers like like eating the sole of a shoe compared to in and out.

Fries- whatever neither place has good fries.

Taco Bell was giving these away for a $1 yesterday at 2pm in the app.
