not 100% sure, but it seems like that normalized visualization (bar length) of hand categories (weak pair for example) is not displayed correctly within the hand matrix. i am using the current beta v1.7.2. is this a known issue?

Are you perhaps using "Settings->Scale small stats"?
Otherwise, can you send a savefile+screenshot to support?

"scale small stats" on/off doesnt change anything. i've attached 2 images (first unfiltered, second filtered for weak pairs). i might be wrong, but i think that in previous versions the small filtered bars (for weak pairs) got scaled/normalized.

For this, set whichever settings you'd like to use by default.

Then, go to "Edit profiles".
Select "Add current", and add your profile.
Select it by left-clicking it, and select "Set as default".
After this, click on "Accept changes".

See the screenshot below.

For v173, we'll make some changes, so that storing your current settings as default requires only a single step.

I have to do this every time I change spots?

I create the tree (see image 1)

when the simulation is finished I have "remanaing bet below" activated and the size of the bets is not the same (image 2)

I did so many hours of simulation for nothing :( :(

After changing the build settings, you need to click on "Build tree" (lower left), so that the tree is built according to your settings.
I have checked over here, and the settings seem to be stored correctly.

In the older versions, we fully blackened out the matrix, and only showed the range that was being moused over.
In the more recent versions, we partially darken the matrix, and only the range itself is showed without darkening.
So, normalization will now indeed work slightly differently, given that it's now the main matrix that determines which % is scaled to 100%, whereas previously it was the moused-over range.

tbh, i like the previous approach much more. a settings option to switch betweem them would be great. as you can see, in this example it's pretty hard to see the details of the weak pair distribution. i also think that the darkening effect is not significat enough aka i would prefer a much more faded background to make the selected category even more obvious.

The selected hands will have the name of the hand written in pure white, whereas the non-selected ones will be drawn in gray.
But we will consider alternative options for future releases.

Scylla, In the compare range window when I compare the % of range stat in hand classes if I check the stat changes for OOP as expected because he has split his range but unexpectedly the stats for IP change. If OOP checks doesn't IP have the same range as before. Why is the percentage of a particular hand class change? The combos seems unchanged though.

This is because you have "Card removal" enabled (upper right of the interface).
After OOP checks, OOP's range changes, and affects IP's frequencies in a slightly different way.
If you disable "Card removal", then you'll find that IP's frequencies will be the same before and after OOP checks.

I believe the combos are unchanged Ehy would that be?

by tommyaces k

Frequencies are affected by card removal because the matchups (with villain's range) depend on villain's range.
With combos on the other hand, we solely look at our own range, and ignore any card removal effects.

Scylla,
When we use click the data box and see the equity, combos etc. why is the equity expressed as a whole number instead of a decimal as it is a percent. Is there a work around besides dividing by 100?

The choice whether or not to express the equity as a % or as a fraction is more of an esthetic choice than anything else.
I think that we decided on expressing it as a %, given that it would make it more clear to a user that this is the column for equity.

Scylla, I would expect to see equity expressed as a decimal like 0.97834 in the above example instead of a whole number. It creates an extra step when importing into a spread sheet, dividing the column by 100 and using it to find % of range between say 60% and 70%. Just a suggestion.

I built a SS that calculates equity buckets for comparison of ranges.

Ok, thank you for your suggestion.
We will consider it for future releases.

What's the process of locking tree in the latest update? Lock+edit decision - special options - merge3 actions together - run solver? doesnt work for me, all actions stay the same. Should i wait for orange Merge mini-window to disappear? Help please

Previously, when you selected the option to merge two actions together, then the two actions were fully merged together.

In the new update, you can also apply the merge to a selection of hands, instead of the entire range.
For this, click on the hands to which you want to apply the merge.
You can click in the table, matrix, statistics, or apply to the entire range.

If you want to apply the merge to the entire range:
1) Click on "Special options"
2) Select the tab "Merge"
3) Select which actions you want to merge, and which action to merge into
4) Double-click on the bar below the matrix (this bar contains the entire range)

Thank you scylla, it worked! Love your software

I am a little confused on how the incentives work, if I update a board that is part of a database solve for all turns, I would assume that I would need to re solve the spot, but when I go back to process database the board is in a solved state.

Am I missing a step or something as part of the process?

Setting an incentive will not make the tree to be considered to be "unsolved".

To solve the tree again:
1) Go to "Run solver"
2) Double-click the tree in the database to load it
3) Switch to the tab "Single tree"
4) Click on "Run solver"

See the screenshot below.

An alternative would be:
3) Go to any decision in the tree
4) Lock the decision and make any edit
5) Unlock the decision

This will also make the tree to be considered to be "unsolved".

Is there a shortcut to switch to a different tree in a database instead of clicking on the board? Similar to how we can quickly navigate to different turn/rivers.

by Magnum87 k

Ok, I will make a note of your requests, and we'll circle back to this at a later time.

Within the editor, you can click on the board field to select a different tree in the database.
There's currently no quickbuttons for this though.

Scylla,
I have been experimenting with the Compare range window, specifically with the checkmarks. It appears I can select specific hand classes and compare the stats. Is there a tutorial or video on this feature. What is the best way to use this feature?

Also, I think this would be very useful when you get equity buckets online to have equity buckets instead of hand classed in a toggle. Is there a timeline on next release to include equity buckets?
