If I was in the press box, I'd just ask Trump basic questions every day like... can you define inflation? What's a tariff? etc... the guy is a know nothing. A man who doesn't read, can't be informed. It's just common sense.

How much you are willing to help the victim depends on how much you like it among other things.

i don't think there's much separating dave and guys like dan rather and jim lehrer, i think they are the same people once off camera and hanging out at your bbq, just that dave doesn't change things the cameras are on

i've worked in a news room with a lot of tv production, you'd be amazed at how many austere talking heads on camera immediately change clothes and go to the titty bar once they done with their 15 minute discussion of foreign policy

I agreed with it, i also agreed with taking in millions of refugees in our own countries (which we are paying for). Even if Ukraine was objectively a shithole country undeserving of any help, one of the worst country in the world in 2021 outside subsaharian africa (objectively, as per international rankings).

And all the POW's being tortured by Russia, all the children who have been stolen by Russia and likely sold into sex slavery, and people who just wanted to live their lives in peace, before they were attacked by a guy who has publically stated his goal is to break America and western democracies.

It's never that simple. Reconciling what is demanded with what is doable is often left to those mired in the details.

Zelensky's victimization might be yet to come. In the past the neo nazi militia have told him if he backs down from fighting Russia they would kill him. Now he's in DC kissing the Ring. They are said to be talking about security guarantees for Ukraine. I guarantee you Zelensky is talking about his own personal security with Trump.

The extremists/ne nazis in Ukraine have to be given something or they will freak out and they will undermine the peace at every opportunity. What could it be?
