President Donald Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
I'm afraid this is one of many respects in which the ancient ivy-encrusted carved-on-stone US Constitution is not altogether fit for purpose, because the words are there but in practice they don't mean anything. Still, here it is anyway:-
https://www.congress.gov/crs-product/R45...
Section 4 provides for instances of contingent presidential disability. It was intended by the Twenty-Fifth Amendment's authors to provide for cases in which a President was unable or unwilling to declare a disability. In these circumstances, the section authorizes the Vice President and a majority of either the Cabinet, or such other body established by law (a presidential disability review body), acting jointly, to declare the President to be disabled. When they transmit a written message to this effect to the President pro tempore and the Speaker, the Vice President immediately assumes the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
The President has become, or is becoming, mentally incompetent by any reasonable measure, and there are several years to go and it's only going to get worse, and everybody knows it, but is anybody going to do anything? Nah, course not.
just when you think it can't get any worse, it does.
The sitting president dancing on the grave of an American citizen who was murdered by his son whose only sin was not liking trump is a wild, sociopathic thing to normalize
I’m confident there won’t be a trump supporter alive who does anything but shrug their shoulders despite the batshit insanity you’re implicitly thirsting for

They will just say that this is the price you have to pay to get conservative SCOTUS justices or whatever. But to your point, approximately 1/4 of voting age citizens of this country truly do not care what Trump does or what Trump says. The price will never be too high for them. Trump could drop a nuke on Toronto tomorrow and their faith would remain unshaken.
A display of trash today that is one for the ages.
Anxiously awaiting how the magtards will spin it.

in fairness the one friend of mine who usually just responds with "based!" whenever trump does something extra unhinged instead today pivoted to "that's a new low for him" as a response so it'll be interesting if the "he can do no wrong" aura may be cracking as he keeps testing new limits
Today is the day trump became presidentAlso a friendly reminder to dox, cancel, and fire anyone who speaks ill of Chuck
In the wake of another Jewish massacre, I'd just like to point out that this language by the president, should be a disqualifier to hold such an office.
A disqualifier for any decent human, should be a president that pits Americans against their fellow Americans. That alone should be enough to not support that person, and the reason is very simple.
If you allow the most powerful person on the plant, to constantly "other" people, you are playing w/ fire. If you're unsure about what I just typed above, please pick up some history books. We all need to do better.

I’ve always thought the concept of trump is nothing more than a means to an end for both the man and the charlatans trying to profit and the supporters desperate to normalize the agenda
To that end, ya, to your point there is truly no bottom here. This is just the golden idol dragging everything down with him
McConnell could have ended this and gotten the votes for conviction for the 1/6 impeachment but even he was too arrogant to understand he could be cast into the trash heap once trump came back and was more fixated on remaking the judiciary for a century
MAGA can be reduced at its core to two types of people: 1. Grifters 2. Marks
There are absolutely no other options
What a likable guy
-Blahblah probably
Why are you so angry at Chuck? He could be your twin brother in every regard. You both defend the exact same child rapist all the time.....
Now you're just being ridiculous. Rickroll and I disagree on tons of stuff.
If you want to be a troll, I would encourage you to learn from the best; Trolly and d2_e4.

It probably started that way in 2015 / 2016. However, Trump's rising social media clout and popularity with GOP voters quickly put an end to that idea. Eventually Trump loyalists would come to dominate the GOP and MAGA would be the kingmakers of the party, culminating with the GOP in 2020 abandoning the idea of a party platform and declaring that its political ambition was to support Trump. Its "platforms" as of late are not much better, being little more than short list of slogans.
Sure, it is filled with charlatans and the corrupt, and Trump himself is a man steered by his greed and corruption, but at its heart there is still ideology here. However, it is the ideology of the Mongidigs and the Brian James' of this world. It does not have to make much sense, be factual and nor does it have to be consistent. It can even be outright stupid. It only has to be emotional and reactionary.
Today, the GOP is Trump and American conservatism is MAGA. On the individual level, American conservatives exist that do not view themselves as part of this, but let us be real: Even the vast majority of those have likely voted for Trump and are willing to ignore the worst aspects of MAGA. I will not be as harsh as to say that the rest are politically irrelevant, but I will say that they do not have much of a political voice.
A disqualifier for any decent human, should be a president that pits Americans against their fellow Americans.
Blue and red, liberal or conservative, democrat or republican, all I see is a bunch of brain-dead idiots who have fallen for the oldest trick in the book, divide and conquer.
