President Donald Trump

President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

Stonks down bad

Ah, so you think only rich people own stocks? In case you hadn't heard, almost no one has defined benefit retirement pensions anymore. Most middle class people, and even a lot of kinda poor people, are counting on retirement accounts which are mostly invested in stocks.

Right, down only now. Market will never rebound. Sucks for everyone.

I'll make a bold prediction that as long as this lying moron grifter is in charge we won't see another high.

CNBC talking heads comparing trump to mccarthy today. Cramer is a borderline trumper so that surprised me. They rarely get that sort of political other than the magtard on early in the morning.

He is still very sharp.

Relative to you, yes,

I think they'll normalise once the tariff nonsense gets binned, which it will when Americans really start hurting from it.

I don't expect it to show any sort of average rise of any significance in the next 4 years tho - more likely a drop.

lemme see the tons of calls on SPY you sold to back this prediction with your money and make a killing if you are right

I'll bet SPY hits ATH before Jan 2020, 2029. We'll even go November election 2024, since markets will move based on who wins election

if there is an election lol dictator amirite

The UK, European and far east markets are probably the best for long term investments for the next few years.... or invest in gov bonds (not US)

Personally I'd already sold all mine off about a month or more ago, and recently re-invested a little into different trackers, more as a way to keep an eye on it. I doubt I'll reinvest 90% of my entire holdings though till Trump no longer has his cult in charge of the House, or the Maga atrocity trials are impending (whichever comes first)

Unless there's a major crash, then I'll buy

Major crash is when the billionaires get even more total wealth in long term, sad to say.

You don't have to bet, just invest, if you really believe that.

It's gonna be up and down like a whore's knickers the next 4 years, when Trump keeps his trap shut it will slowly creep up, then when he says some other dumb thing about tariffs, it will crash back down.... over and over and over, with tiresome predictability.

And the US stocks will get worse (or just about cling on to a flatline) as both investors and business get knocked around by the unpredictability.

Trump wants to bail out farmers now. So USAians are going to pay double for the tariffs.

Maybe famous isn't the right word for the general population, but anyway i had her on my feed several time (usually because rightwing people attacked her). She was also targeted by Musk about purported fiscal waste more than once.

Have you considered the possibility that she showed up in your feed not because she is radical but rather because she colors her hair?

the inflation reduction act was pretty radical, starting from the Orwellian name (all extra deficit is inflationary especially near full employment).

ofc she wasn't the sole author of the law but she was fundamental to pass it with that text

pretty terrible (yet not surprising) development, tariffs have domino effects including pushing your allies into your enemy arms

China Japan and South Korea will reportedly jointly respond to the US tariffs:

Japan and South Korea are seeking to import semi conductor raw materials from China.
China is also interested in purchasing chip products from Japan and South Korea.
China Japan and South Korea have consensus that they hope to keep the supply chain smooth in these areas.
China South Korea and Japan are looking to conduct high level free-trade agreement talks in reaction to the higher tariffs expected from Pres. Trump.

Shanghai Energy set up shop in Calgary and is looking at the 890,000 barrels that is passing through the TMX pipeline to the coast. They have already secured some of the capacity and China is looking for more

She didn't sponsor the legislation, and I see nothing in this lengthy Wikipedia article to indicate that she had any significant role in crafting the language of the legislation or ensuring its passage.

Nop because this time they discovered QE ..
but the inflation might be catastrophic .

He is still very sharp. You get the feeling that when it starts to go it's gonna happen fast. Biden was gone before he became President. That was pretty embarrassing.

Yup.
Canada becoming 51st state such a sharp goal.
Trying to go against the constitution to be a 3rd time president is sharp too .
Trying to make deal with Putin while simultaneously trying to sack over his best friends and allies is sharp as well .

Yup , it’s great to see how people got elected , believing in crap like you do …

This is for diebitter
