President Donald Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
Not if the US empire collapses. The trajectory of Trump 2.0 indicates it's not out of the question.
Or Trump is a masterful economic genius. The kind of genius who can go bankrupt while taking in 5% of every dollar that goes through his hands.
So what do you hold?
QE drives assets up. Good for asset holders.
Inflation makes money worthless. Bad for cash/bonds.
Load up on stonks?
If tariffs wreck the economy they aren't inflationary because the first order increase in prices is smaller than the general impoverishment of the population so they can cause a recession which is typically a very deflationary event.
Even with QE, the "recovery" under Obama-Trump (2009-2019) was the slowest ever.

I’m mostly gold, treasuries (t-bill and 30 years bonds ) ,bitcoin and reits .
Barely 10% in stocks (oil, gold, international in that 10%) .
I’m Pacing myself .
i'm guessing that the average american who was forced to forego a pension and take a 401k plan as a replacement doesn't have the ability, or education, to chase the market indicators-of-the-day, nor the ability to 'day-trade' with their 24-hour+ turn around stock movements provided by their plan managers....for just that reason.

the average American doesn't put 100k in one month in stocks.
he puts 300 or 500 or something like that per month, he cost averages across a decade + especially at the beginning

QE sent long duration bonds to the moon, I had a 30y Portugal note in 2014 that I bought at 101 like 3 days after issuance which touched 180 a few years later with European zirp+QE (which came later for us)

ICE admits to an 'administrative error' after Maryland man sent to El Salvador prison
A Maryland man with protected legal status was sent to the notorious prison in El Salvador following an "administrative error," a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) official admitted in a sworn declaration on Monday.
Kilmer Armado Abrego-Garcia who has a U.S. citizen wife and 5-year-old child is currently at CECOT, the notorious prison in El Salvador.
The filing is part of a new lawsuit filed by Abrego-Garcia's attorneys who are requesting that the government of El Salvador return him to the U.S. after being sent there "because of an administrative error."
In response, the government has acknowledged the error but said in a filing that because Abrego-Garcia is no longer in U.S. custody, the court cannot order him to be returned to the U.S. nor can the court order El Salvador to return him.

Guy is married to an American citizen and has a 5 year-old disabled child.
His probably not a republican and his the wrong color , its all good ……
It is exactly the correct term.
Just a mistake. It’ll happen again, and we won’t do anything to fix the process, and the guy has no remedy whatsoever. But just a mistake.
If nazism is when law enforcement makes mistakes, then there is nazism everywhere and the word doesn't mean anything anymore
It's nazism to ignore jurisprudence to sentence a man to certain death in a hostile foreign jail. But to your point, words mean nothing to minds poisoned by partisan beliefs.
