This is definitely correct. The problem with a lot of these LLM’s is that they are really good at confidently stating things and rarely hedge at all. That makes them really bad for researching anything because you never know when they say something that is completely 100% uncontroversial and when they are saying something completely made up or crazy.
A smart person can make great use of LLMs don’t get me wrong, but a stupid or ignorant person will be wildly led astray. That’s why there are entire swaths of people insisting that LLMs are sentient when there is absolutely no way that is possible with current technology.

Republicanism has failed them and Trump/Vance style politics will keep them poor and under-performing. If a rural gets cancer there;s a good chance they will be screwed with competent care hours away and limited legal protections to keep their jobs and insurance plans because of Trump/Vance/Abbot/Desantis style politics. I would compare what I'm telling rurals much more closely to Charles Barkley's I am not a role model than anything Bill Cosby said. Rurals do need to fix their culture and focus on bigger things than the culture war or hatred of liberals, but I'm not ignoring the reality of societal problems like poverty, drug addiction and low education levels that make it harder to be successful if you live in these places.
