Im not sure whom you think is aligning with Russia. Here is a reality under Obama Russia invaded Ukraine and took Crimea and Obama sent them blankets . He maintained relations with Putin and was caught on a hot mike saying we can deal just wait . Under Trump 1.0 the USA sent weapons to Ukraine and no further attacks occurred. Under Joe Biden Putin invaded the rest of Ukraine . Did Joe bring up ceasefire or peace talks nope. He instead sent billions of $$$ in weapons and cash to Ukraine with no oversight.
Now under Trump 2.0 he is looking to end the war what a monster
And yes Russia invaded Ukraine illegally

Right, so you are saying that Trump did a very bad thing in the past by sending Ukraine weapons? Of course that likely would have meant that all of Ukraine would have been taken over instead of just part of it had they not had weapons that this would have been an entirely fine outcome because they are not part of NATO (since NATO refused to allow them to become part of NATO)???
Many on the left - including me - long thought that Obama should have build up the Ukrainian military and imposed even steeper consequences on Russia for their annexation of Crimea and Donbas. I understand that Obama was worried about escalation, but my view then and now was that escalation was inevitable and one needs to build up defenses against that. It seems I sadly won that argument.

If you are worried about Russia being your enemy, then for a tiny percentage of the US budget Ukraine has done a massive number devastating Russian military capacity and we should strongly support them. But somehow I'm just guessing - call me crazy - that you are going to respond with a bunch of trump talking points.
I'd rather get my $5000 check than help Ukraine. I'm not worried about Russia. They can take over Europe as far as I'm concerned. they aren't like the Nazis trying to take over the world. They just want their territory back.

well in the impossible event any of these states attack us you have to protect us anyway for your own security. It was never for ours. These country's are about as much of a threat to us as they are to the states which is zero with a small chance of china in the future. Seems like your the only threat in my mind
