Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD

2+2 Rules

Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...

These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.

To reiterate some of the points:

1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.

2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.

3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.

4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.

5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.

If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
Well pick a side of the argument Victor. You don't get both.

My comment to Micro was saying his push back was a breath of fresh air.

And in a world where the Arab countries didn't attack in the 40's Victor, it's very likely those Palestinians could live anywhere today. Sadly, that's not the path the Arab nations chose back then. And we've been paying the price ever since. Accepting that one country in the middle East could be self determined by Jews, was always a choice. All the other countries g

It's not so much that the Arabs attacked in the 40's; It's that they lost. Then they lost every other war. Now Israel is bigger.

right, except Palestinians. and in fact, if they dont give up their houses to the "peacenik Jews" then they are fascist.

I wouldn't describe the folks taking the "Palestinian" homes as "Peacenik".

"Biggest peaceniks in all of Israel", you say. That's one hell of a low bar! Maybe these lovely liberal Zionists shouldn't have had a music festival hundreds of feet from a concentration camp!

Anyway, I know more about you about... well, just about everything, with the possible exception of how to spew out low-to-mid-tier hasbara posts, so shut the **** up with regards to "embarrassing myself".

It was dumb to have the music festival this close to a bunch of homicidal maniacs. It should never have been approved.

I don't want to hear the "we are victims of Israeli oppression blah blah blah". .

You appear to have zero understanding of oppression, hence your admiration for serial sex trafficker and rapist Andrew Tate, and I have nfi why you expect anyone to take your posts seriously.

In fairness, in Hamas own words they had tricked Israel into opening up the border some and being lax on security by pretending they were interested in normalizing relations. I dont think Israel will ever make that mistake again. And Egypt is sending entire battalions to make sure no Palestinians cross through.

Until Hamas is gone and Gaza is completely demilitarized (which might actually be never) I dont think we will be hearing about any cross border raids (or really any Palestinians being allowed into Israel or Egypt* from Gaza for any reason) ever again.

*Except the ones who pay mucho dinero to be smuggled through on the Egypt side

Seems like a shrewd manoeuvre during what Israel calls a war, no?

Well, if you consider subterfuge and then starting a war with a surprise attack causing your city state to look like this with no hope for any future for the 2 million people living in it as shrewd, then sure.

Most people wouldn't call it shrewd to start wars that get your city state destroyed. But you do you.

We really should be careful in invoking the "antisemitic" card, but when someone tries to argue that Vivian Silver is not a peacenik (the kindest most devoted person to the Palestinian cause I have ever met) or to throw shade at her for choosing to live in Beeri (a deliberate choice to help people in Gaza), he is at the very least an antisemitic and probably just an awful person altogether.

I don’t doubt the kangaroo court from the joke of a country is “operating by the rule of law” because I assume the laws are different in Israel. The thing is in every other country in the world when officers hold down someone they are holding in captivity and use metal objects to tear their rectum this is called rape.

Great job “holding your soldiers accountable.”

You seem really informed about our judicial branch…
