Obviously, the farther up the supply chain, the greater the amount of "sheer luck" needed to make sure the victim is a terrorist and not, say, an EMT.

Right, so Bayesian probability would suggest Israel made the modifications pretty far down the supply chain.

gonna need you to show the math on this one, sounds like you're making a vibes-based judgement

I'm sure ISIS and Al Qaida will be very interested in the ability to put explosives in personal electronic devices or cause their explosion.

Another great point, people wanting to duplicate Israel's terror attack will want to know what point they can slip stuff in the supply chain without getting detected.

Or they correctly determined that Hezbollah ordered the pagers for their own internal military use, and weren't giving any of them out to civilians.

Believe it or not Israel calls off a lot of attacks if they determine the civilians casualty would be too high. If half the pagers had been handed out to nurses this attack would have been called off too.

by Bluegrassplayer

If it was a special order specifically for Hezbollah then yeah, you're right. I was thinking it was an order from a company that was already supplying pagers to the area, but what you said makes sense.

It was but that order for 5k pagers was rerouted to a European subcontractor and those were all given to Hezbollah.

At least this is what is circulating on twitter, will wait for confirmation before posting sources

more terrorist attacks from the illegal genocidal regime

absolute fantasy land

another Hezbollah terrorist

Spoiler
Show

Seems the best way to assure no more civilians on either side die moving forward is for Hezbollah to stop attacking Israel and retreat behind the Litani River, as they promised they would. Wouldn't you agree?

3 out of 12 of the dead are children. tell me more about how this only targeted Hezbollah fighters.

Those kids were human shields, Vic, they don't count. Or they might have been above a Hamas bunker, let's not make assumptions.

Italian media (right-wing, pro Israel source , akin to the British Telegraph) reports that the main manufacturer was in Taiwan, the subcontractor in Hungary, and the salesmen that connected the dots to sell that particular batch of modified pagers to Hezbollah, from Egypt

I was going to tease that you could keep your pager exploding with this one weird trick, and then get people to click a link I would monetize with ads. But you just went ahead and have it away to them.

Hezbollah hand-held radios detonate across Lebanon, sources say

I thought the twitter accounts saying this were just farming views, but reuters idk...

There's also a video of an explosion at one of the funerals.

Al Jazeera too:

i'm in awe

stay away from the fax machine you hezbollah jerkoffs

by Victor

probably Hezbollah since hes a brown man

Maybe don't hang out with Hezbollah terrorists.

Just because there are dead children doesn't mean they weren't only targeting Hezbollah terrorists.

If a parent is allowing their child to be near one of these terrorists then shame on them.

It's not good to make yourself a target of Mossad.

They aren't that smart.

Oh hey, new rationale for murdering children just dropped.

by Dunyain

Seems like now would be a great time for Hezbollah to stop attacking Israel (which it has been doing non stop since 10/7/2023) and retreat behind the Litani River, per Security Resolution 1701 they agreed to.

Are you kidding me? Do you know how many people would be out of a job. The whole economy would collapse.

Let us know how you can you tell which guys are Hezbollah when you’re on public transport or grocery shopping.

Oh hey, new rationale for murdering children just dropped.

It's the reason children are dying. Either their parents are stupid or they don't care.

by Bubble_Balls

Lebanese society should start treating Hezbollah as the terrorists they are, criminalizing them and hunting them, we can help provide funds and weapons for them to do so.

If they choose to keep terrorists in their country without fighting them, rather giving them political power, they incur in avoidable consequences.

I am sorry for the civilian who would want Hezbollah criminalized and has to suffer the consequences of it's political leaders normalizing terrorism. I am open to setup asylum for them if we can prove they are anti-hezbollah.

But it's not like you can be allowed to make a "safe haven" for terrorists using civilians as meat shields, and i can only watch from outside saying "oh i am sorry, there are civilians as well, i won't defend my self, please keep doing terrorism".

by Trolly McTrollson

Oh hey, new rationale for murdering children just dropped.

If only there was a simple way for this to end.

Oh wait, it just hit me. Hezbollah can stop attacking Israel and retreat behind the Litani River, per UN Resolution 1701.

Seems like a great idea, wouldn't you agree?
