Trump 2nd term prediction thread

Trump 2nd term prediction thread

So, looks like Trump not only smashed the electoral college, but is looking on track to win the popular vote, which seems to be an unexpected turn of events, but a clear sign of the current temperature in the country and perhaps the wider world.

Would be interested to hear views on how his 2nd term will pan out from both sides of the aisle - major happenings, what he's going to get done, what he's not going to get done, the impact of his election on the current conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, whether his popularity will remain the same, wane, or increase, etc.

A bit of an anemic OP, I know, just interested to hear people's thoughts now that the election uncertainty is over.

Look what happened from Early 1980s -> war on union starting with Reagan

Since then US debt been rampant up non stop .

I’ll bet baham will just say its coïncidence and the fault is from a Democrat president elected in 1960….

Baham, The workers are the economy .
Weak workers no economy …
Something u never understood.

let's say Der Spiegel is *slightly* biased against trump, as this was their cover for feb 2017, basically before he ever had the time to do anything as president at all

shows how good they are

Seems to be pretty much on point.

Sometimes I think people don't understand what it means to be "biased." Being highly critical of Trump may or may not be consistent with being "biased" against Trump.

It's bias because it came before any actual proof of any actual "killing of freedom" of citizens. That's not criticism, that's a prediction based on pure bias (and a prediction which failed completly, as trump didn't infringe any unalienable constitutional rights of citizens in his first term)

Not really. it was based on the way that Trump had behaved in the past, was behaving during the first three months of his first term, and promised to behave in the future.

which unalienable constitutional rights of citizens did Trump suggest by his behavior to be willing to infringe upon during the 2016 electoral campaign or after winning the election?

unless the statue of liberty pic isn't about liberty for American citizens being murdered , rather about being against open borders, as if it was the "statue of open borders" positioned there for immigrants and not the statue of liberty positioned there for, you know, liberty of all Americans being finally achieved (at least on paper).

in which case though the same pic would apply to every single president before him as well, but only trump is in the pic (=bias).

btw even if it was exclusively about immigration, trump ended up deporting as much as Obama so, utterly failed prediction anyway (or bias, not putting Obama with the same pic)

Sounds like some people's posting around here.

I suspect there will be a noticeable drop in tourism in this term. The various reports we're hearing over here about ICE thugishness (no ID presented, covered faces, people being whisked off in unmarked vans, people who 'look Mexican' being put through the ringer, VISAs cancelled or detainment whilst this is being checked, Trump constantly changing the rules etc etc) make the USA an unappealing place to visit until this is over.

To the Magas = America First
To the rest = America Last

Right now the US sounds like a country ruled by cruel, corrupt and incompetent people, supported by a lot of people willing to forgive the corruption and incompetence if the cruelty continues. And since it is the second round, it was a willing choice this time.

While I understand that this hardly represents everyone in the US, it isn't conducive towards wanting to visit. And I say that as someone who has always been both intrigued by and interested in the US.

Replace "sounds like" with "is".

I ask you what I asked rococo, which unalienable rights of citizens did trump infringe or attempted to infringe but was stopped by courts, in his first term?

Who cares about his first term today anyway ?

Who cares about his first term today anyway ?

to determine if see Spiegel prediction back then was correct (it wasn't at all).

besides, which unalienable constitutional rights of American citizens is trump infringing or attempting to infringe currently?

The issue isn't his first term.

The issue is that the only fair way to judge Trump is to ignore his past words, past actions, administration, campaign staff, social media statements, executive orders and lies.

Anything he does must be judged as if the slate is completely clean and he he must be given the benefit of the doubt at any possible juncture. If you don't do this, you are a "leftie", "liberal", "marxist", "rhino", "enemy of the state", "suffer from TDS" or whatever the popular term is that day.

For example, when judging the cover from Der Spiegel, you aren't supposed to consider how he suggested people kill his political opponents during the campaign, how he encouraged his supporters to use violence during rallies, you aren't supposed to remember how he lied about fraud in the 2016 election, falsely accusing his political opponent of assassination, you aren't supposed to remember him violating the emoluments clause, mocking a disabled reporter from the pulpit, nor how his campaign staff kept getting caught lying to the FBI, how he undermined institutions, attacked press that reported on his lies and so forth.

You have to ignore all of that stuff, and the remaining litany of lies, whining and corruption he engaged in. If you don't, you are biased and can't be trusted.

Surely overturning an election is all good if you end up failing .

Tame deuces seem he nailed it didn’t he ….

Don’t worry Luciom, u will be very happy when trump succeed in this term about something bad happening against “liberty “

I guess we just memoryholed the fake elector scheme.
