I'll say Trump is effectively disqualified from running for president in 2024

We can hope

He's already disqualified. Whether or not the law is adhered to is another story.

Based on my understanding, though I haven't kept up as much because the scotus pod I listen to has been on break forever, given how liberal and conservative justices tend to interpret things the liberals should be more Apt to overturn Colorado and the conservative less likely, though I doubt that happens.

Maybe a bit too politics related for this thread.

I could also see them upholding Colorado right to exclude him (and maybe only from the primary) but that doesn't apply to other states needing to.

i haven't been following it, but was he excluded only from the primary? cuz primaries are completely meaningless. whoever wins the primary and by however many votes, doesn't matter. dems or repubs can nominate whoever they want lol.. you can literally have 0 votes for dem or repub nomination, and still be the dem or repub nominee

I'd guess he can only be removed from things for which there are ballots.

seems like it could get weird if a state rules trump can't be president cuz he tried to overthrow the govt, but then he gets elected anyway... like the state would have to say "ok never mind. you're not allowed to be president, but we dont' wanna separate from the union so we'll let you be our president anyway" OR "you can't be president, so we don't recognize your authority"

I'm sure the state would accept it and move on. They can't really have a say in a federal election, no? I think it would be more like "we believe he is disqualified, but are required to accept the results of the federal election"

right, but it's still awkward. cuz it's like "ok yeah, our judges and our laws are meaningless. we bow down to federal authority"

- filthy and tbob: legal experts(and expert in everything else too)

That is the general rule of law between states and the federal govt.

Mark is trying to get a Vegas super bowl trip together when Dallas cowboys get there this year.

I might have to do it. Hard to see anyone from the NFC making it besides SF though. Weird **** happens though.

Dolphins vs Packers, imo. Book it.

Neither of those teams is even making the second round.

Dolphins will be favored if they end up playing Indy. Last playoff game they won was against Indy. I'm feeling it!

The Dolphins have exactly one (1) win against a team with a winning record this year.

And let's not even get into the LOL Packers, who might not even make the playoffs.

I don’t care much about football but I want the Dolphins to lose because I don’t want Tyreek Hill to win. Guy beats his pregnant partner to a pulp and breaks his toddler’s arm. Who would hire such a person?? Oh wait, that’s a pretty good resume for the NFL.

Also there was another player who knowingly gave a woman herpes and tried to shrug it off like it was her fault.

Who is better at domestic abuse? Professional athletes or cops? It’s gotta be close…

wtf???? i had no idea he did that ****! jfc man! wow... and nfl mvp is probably between him and the ravens QB

i don't think it's close. cops win by a mile. BUT pro sports really needs to step up and lead by example. it's disgraceful.

looking forward to my next poker session when people are talking about how great tyreek hill is(me and crossnerd are a bad influence on each other lol)

He also impregnated a half dozen other women while he was in a relationship with his now wife, and they’re all suing him now for support. And their house almost burnt down a few days ago bc they weren’t watching their children and one of them got ahold of a cigarette lighter. I mean… this ****in’ guy…

Oh but he’s the best WR omg! Give him the top award!

Ordered some uber eats delivery and the order was completely mangled (receipt on the bag was correct). I reported it and the automatic refund was less than the price difference between what I ordered and what I got. They sent a pork entree instead of chicken. So I just told them I was Jewish and religiously offended by the pork I can't eat (I ate it). Full refund and $25 credit 😀

i'm surprised i never heard any of this, but i'm not surprised at all at the behavior. and i think it says something, that no one would be surprised....

"oh NFL mega wealthy super star everyone loves beats the **** out of people, even his own kids, impregnates women all over the place... yeah that tracks"
