salt to taste for me pretty much always equals 1tsp and if i'm putting in a tsp of salt, **** it, might as well put a tsp of pepper in too

I do do 5 grams of salt per pound of meat(ish) these days, which is 1 percent, which is about 1 tsp

But when it has a bunch of other saltish ingredients it's tougher.

I measure salt by pouring an amount out into my hand and then sprinkling it in with fingers. Brain somehow just knows now after enough experience which ingredients need more or less.

Sometimes I’ll just pour right from the large container with a spout, brain knows what it’s doing

Pepper should typically be half the amount of salt unless you’re doubling it with cayenne or paprika

when im making a meal, i basically never use salt. we get so much salt in our diets, i def do not need any more.

For one, what the **** is QVC+? QVC is a home shopping channel for shut ins AFAIK.

For another, WITAF is a home shopping channel doing making original movies?

Why?

Everyone wants a piece of the streaming pie.

Maybe the better question is what audience they think they're going to capture that isn't already a QVC customer?

It is very very possible that I've already spent too much time thinking about this.

My family actually did a tour of the QVC studios 10-15 years ago on our way back from visiting a relative. That facility was so much bigger than I expected.

are you all getting sick more often?

this is the 3rd time i've been sick in the last few months. i usually get sick maybe once a year.

they say covid has weakened our immune systems

It's winter people get sick more. Plus we're getting older. I've been vaguely sick for a few weeks.

Also if you play poker ever obviously you'll get sick.

Have you kept your mask on?

i wear a mask every time i go to the casino, but i do take it off to drink, and sometimes when people can't hear me, just to talk

vast majority of the time im wearing the n95 though

i also don't eat at the casino, which i think makes a difference. when i used to eat at the table all the time, i'd get sick more often. same thing when i worked with kids. no matter how careful i'd be, with like washing my hands, touching my food or face or whatever... if i ate at work, i'd get sick. if i never ate at work, i wouldn't get sick.

Nope, can't say that I have been.

Random people I know pop up with Covid, but I don't think it's been an especially bad flu season.

So where do you think you're catching the bugs? How's the GF's health?

oh it's gotta be the casino. my only other exposure to people is my gf, and she never gets sick
