2024 F1 Season.
Seeing as no one has started a new thread yet I thought I would.
Will Max win everything again?
Has Lewis made the right decision to switch?
When will Horner get sacked?
Is 24 races far too many?
Predictions for the season?
Mine is Perez will get replaced mid way through the season and Lando will actually finally win a race
Damn, I wonder if Checo would've had anything for Oscar if he could've overtaken with like 4 to go.
Seems like a BS move by Charles. Once Checo had him on the straight, Charles just throws his car into that corner knowing there's 0% chance he'll ever be able to leave Checo enough space and Checo has to either wreck or back out. Then he got forced so wide by Charles' divebomb that Sainz can slip on by as well.
Checo then had the better position on the next straight to see that is Sainz drifting left and probably could've drifted left himself, but **** that, I'm sure his blood was boiling and decided not to yield again.
Seems to me Checo is more at fault than Carlos.
looks like checo 100% at fault to me
is there a less charismatic man in the world than oscar
the human equivalent of a tax return
He is actually quite funny

Checo fan, by any chance?
Max got punished for using inappropriate vocabulary when describing the current RB car
lmao
Race start is going to be spicey. Max and Lewis are like magnets and Lando hasn't had a single good first lap this year
That post qualification interview session was hilarious
Gotta feeling Zak will complain RB having 4 drivers. Ricc stealing that fast lap point is slight collusion.
snooze fest...
Once again, Colapinto shines.
someone needs to snap this guy up ASAP!
Mercedes... Aston...

It is all people will talk about for the next couple of weeks as no races. Wish the teams complaining about this helped Andretti to buy VCARB even if it meant overpaying for that team. RedBull is never going to sell for 'fair market value'.
totally agree with Max on the ridiculousness of the penalty but I had to ROFL at him saying it might force him out of the sport. He ain't making $70m + anywhere else
He is clearly not happy in F1 with sprint races, 24 race calendar, media obligation and I agree each one on his own is not going to make him move to WEC but all together could definitely make him take a year or two off to race with his father. He can always come back if he wants more money.
I'm not a huge Max fan or anything, but given his age and talent, it would be pretty cool if he just won his 4th this year and made a serious bid for the triple crown. He could absolutely take Indy and the 24h if he really wanted to.
Mario would still have him beat... because Daytona 500

He has said several times that he thinks oval races are too dangerous so triple crown is only possible if someone convinces him otherwise. He has mentioned WEC as something he wants to do while still in his prime.

I don't think money is an incentive anymore for Max in his decisions on what to do in the future. The Verstappen family has enough of it for the next 10 generations.
Lando scratching that wall was some crazy high variance moment. A couple of cm more and it's a 32 point swing, game over for the WDC and a potential huge downswing in his career.
Colapinto is adjusting fenominally to F1. If he continues driving like that, it might open a spot for 2026 (2025 seems kind of impossible).

impossible).
I understand the point and it’s rationally correct. I just don’t think it ever happens than athletes in their mid 20s at the peak of their powers, ever walk away from this kind of money to drop down a class in their sport
Nico Rosberg wasn't as young a Max, but he walked away from that kind of money
Ricciardo out. RedBull could have handled that a lot better even though it is the correct decision.
Nico has bigger plans... to get drivers to work for him.
Can I just say about Ricciardo's axing that reports are saying that Marko wanted to sack him much earlier in the season (Spain) but Horner went in to bat for him to keep him on - then what the **** has been the excuse for Checo the last 3 seasons. That they are happy if Max is happy if he takes all the points and has an uncompetitive team-mate. It is such bullshit how long Checo has been able to drive for Red bull and they are truly taking the piss in this day and age to have one team-mate get to choose who they drive with.
And Max can **** off too - I would not give a **** if he left the sport. One season after like the last 6 years that he feels he hasn't got the best car and now wants to leave - go and get ****ed.
