"Winter is icummen in,
Lhude sing Goddamm,
Raineth drop and staineth slop
And how the wind doth ramm!
Sing: Goddamm."

I did that, first time I ever took acid.
We could really use some zeno input on this subject, no?
I'm not sure which out of "Irish Goodbye" or "French Leave" would pique Zeno the more.
always thought volleyball was the agreed upon metric
I used the term about a year ago, before someone pointed out to me that it's dubious.
I don't think I've ever heard of an Irish goodbye.
so your drunken brain tells yourself it is time to flee the work party and yourself neglects to see see anyone else wearing the chain email so you just slรกn without actually saying it aloud and stagger back to your castle
I am the master of the Irish goodbye. It makes everything so easy. it baffles wives.
I IDed a 6โ3โ guy tonight whose last was Hight.
Having almost finished moving, I realize I hadn't unburdened myself of possessions as much as I thought. I think I donated over 50 pounds of clothes. (The 80/20 rule is you wear 20% of your clothes 80% of the time.) I don't have furniture or dishes, and I'm giving away my TV.
I really do want to live the rest of my life unencumbered by stuff. It's more difficult than you think.

More difficult, but much better. Less clutter is better.

I completely agree. I'm trying to "disaccumulate" myself.
One problem is stuff that is too good to throw away, but I have no use for it, and don't know who would. Stereo equipment bought in the early '70s, for example.
Another problem is books. I was taught to respect books, so throwing them away seems almost like a crime. But no one's going to want my college textbooks, also from the '70s. So the hardcover books are going to a landfill, I guess. I heard that paperbacks can be recycled, so that's where they're going.
Local library takes my books (both paperback & hardcover) after I'm done reading them as a donation. Not sure about textbooks, but it seems as if I took some a few years back.
after recently investing in the john cloud storage system we have found our internal closet poundage has been subtracted by well over three and half more stone ages
My father was born 1/31/18. My parents divorced when I was four, my mom moved us back to her home state, and that was about 95% of that. And Iโm fully aware that there are millions of people who wouldโve happily taken that outcome with THEIR dads, divorced or not.
Not exactly Catโs In The Cradle or Father Of Mine, but theyโre the first two songs that come to mind, as Chuck Palahniuk might say.
As with my mom, I managed to inherit most of his legion of weaknesses (along with creating plenty of my own) and few of his not inconsiderable strengths (what little I had, I mostly let die on the vine, while I drank there and watched).

Thanks, John.
Finished moving. What a pain. Best part is a two minute drive to work, especially since I'm teaching an 8:30 class. It's the first time in years that I've taught a class before 11:00.
Worst part is students not showing up for class. Just drop the class or show up.
