ive had way worse punts so dont feel bad.
something i used to do is bet huge here to "protect" my hand. later i realized this is impossible. just bet small and if you get drawn out on, thats poker.
Calling
SB should have a tighter 3! range due to the limper, which makes 4betting less appealing. Even if the SB isnt adjusting, the BB cold calling should set off alarm bells. If BB is indeed a fish, we'd like to keep them in the pot anyways.
Imo this is a spot where we would widen our 4b bluff range before widening our 4b value range.

Nevermind, with a name like "DooDoo" poker and a mere 60k sample, anyone who signs up for your coaching deserves to get scammed. Good luck finding a sucker!

PGT Poker High Roller Tournament Data 20...
This is my very first time trying to create a database. I decided to use information that I've been recording for awhile now on the Poker High Stakes Tournament scene. One of the guarded secrets in poker is how much a player is in profit for his career. They'll gladly post x player has nine million in earnings, but its very possible that the player is also in the negative when you subtract buyins.
I figured out years ago, news reporting ... If you click on chip counts and day 1 you can get the full list of players. https://www.pgt.com/live-reporting/poker... So what I did was compaired the list of players who played an event with the list of players who also recived a payout, and then subtracted the buyin from their payout.
There were really two limitations with this. One is we don't know how many times a player rebought into an event. In most of these tournaments a player if they busted out can rebuy into the event. We know that 61 players were reported to have played the event, but also by the info in the table uptop that 89 players had played, so 28 had rebought in. This information makes since, when we look at other tournaments like Pot Limit Omaha events the rebuy counts are higher and games like Short Deck Hold'em which is known to have even higher rebuying. Problem is we don't know exactly who. The second issue is the rake. The rake in a poker tournament is a fee the casino takes out of the buyin to help pay for costs. PGT is unique in that if you show up on time when the event starts, you get to play rake fee. The problem there is we don't know who showed up early or late. Rake can have a huge effect on a persons win rate. Sadly we can't accurately calculate it.
Now one thing I did do was to give each player a #ID instead of using their real name. I didn't want to public shame anyway by putting out how much they lost. Again this is my first attempt at doing something like this. I would give WSOP data a go. PokerNews does a heck of a job compiling names and if you're a famous player your stack is getting reported on. The bounty info stinks and you still have the issues with reentry, but at least we have some solid rake data. Anyways have a look, so what you can come up with and what you'd change.
Sounds like your read was spot on. Nice hand.

Regarding whether or not to fold pre-flop, we should consider how we're playing our entire range when we're next to act following an EP raise. If we're going to flat call to set mine with 55, we also need to flat call with bigger PP's and good SC's that we might otherwise 3B.
Alternatively, if we're always going to 3B those stronger hands, then we either need to also 3B some smaller pairs, or just fold. If we're always flatting 55 and always 3B'ing TT+, our flatting range is super easy to attack.
Given the choice, I think it's probably better to flat with a wider range that includes some stronger hands, or just fold smaller PP's, rather than 3B with a wider range that includes lower PP's we'd rather set mine. The advantage in flatting next to act with a wider/stronger range is that we can double flat, or even occasionally back raise, and see a flop IP with some stronger hands when aggro players try to 3B squeeze from the blinds.

Yeah, I also fold it's just a set mine. 10 to 1 is close to break even. 20 to 1 would be a good starting point. Plus, we can still flop a set and lose our stack, not to mention the 3bet range of an unknown SB has us crushed anyway.
First, I'm not saying the ranges are different, I'm asking if they are different.
Secondly, if the blinds increase faster, then I play fewer hands per level. If I play fewer hands, then the blinds eat me up without playing a hand. Thats why i can imaging that we have to play looser.
As stack sizes get smaller relative to the blinds, most players play tighter. Thus you should open up your raising ranges.
Future hands and blinds definitely affect how we should play our current hand.

My Mother was a backup singer for Gladys Knight and the Pips. They played a lot of arenas that were in casinos. And the casinos all knew the dirty secret...pay Gladys in casino chips after the show. After the show a casino boss would come in the dressing room with chips to pay for her performance. Gladys would pay the band and backup singers their share in chips and then Gladys would head straight to the casino floor and lose her whole nights pay.
She should have taken the midnight train out of that town

Hi BBB! Good to hear from you sir.
I don't think I've played a single hand of online poker since 2016 or 2017. Seriously. Back then, most of the Ignition LHE tables were 6-max, and on the 9-handed ACR tables you were lucky to get more than 2 people seeing every flop. Have things changed? (I know I could go look for myself I'm just making conversation for now 😀 ).
Most (if not all) online LHE tables these days are 6-max. If you only play full-ring, I recommend studying 6-max a bit and then diving in. Think of it as a new challenge! If nothing else, it will improve your play in heads up and blind defense spots back in your live full-ring game.
As you stated, you would be able to increase vpip and pfr from all positions due to the extra money from antes. You would also be able to defend wider vs. opens compared to 9-max no ante, etc. It doesn't look like you're doing this as your vpip/pfr are similar or even tighter.
Just curious, can you post your rake paid for the 9-max no ante and the 9-max ante tables? I would imagine the 5nl ante games are going to be incredibly high rake.
Thank you for your aid! I will evolve from annoying nit to an adventurous lag player. From presented sample I paid on average ~0,08bb per hand from 9-max NL10 no ante tables and ~0,13bb per hand from 9-max NL5 deepstack ante tables, You're right about predatory rake, generous rakeback system somewhat equalize this. Happy Easter!
That's what Mr Spyutastic wrote also if I'm not mistaken, and I did not see his post before (was writing mine). Doesn't mean it's the truth, but maybe. Back in the time there was a "Baluga theorem" which was very effective and I feel it's still around somehow
Good to know. I am struggling with how to balance "bet big and often when you have a strong hand" vs getting unwanted folds. My baseline on Ignition is to bet when you have a big hand, because people sometimes call wayyyy too wide, but idk where the line is on that. Esp when players will call down with ridiculous hands some % of the time.

Hey guys,
I'm a lurker on the forum for quite some time, just started again with 25$ Bankroll, playing on GG Poker Zoom Tables.
I'm sharing my stats and graph's, please review my game and try to point my flaws.
I have roughly 35% rakeback cashback, so i got already an extra 12$ + 3$ on the leaderboards. i'm up 78$ right now.

Thanks for the helpful answer. The problem for me is that I'm not good enough at playing deep stacks yet, my bankroll doesn't allow me to do that. That's why I'm trying to build up a bankroll this way. Now in my city there is only 1 game table and I am forced to do this. I would not like to spoil relations with the casino administration. Perhaps I should agree with what they say?
I don't see that you have much choice but to go along with it.
This is a fold or a punt. I actually think you lose this pot a lot more than 70% of the time.
