That's where I'd continue to watch, because anyone who has been paying attention the last 5 months knows that's the direction the IDF is looking. But as to your characterization of Iran launching strikes that cost a billion dollars to take out (with the help of at least 3-4 other countries), I think we're going to disagree on that overall characterization. That's a major escalation, and there's a reason every diplomat remotely tied to this region is being mobilized today.

As bad and horrific it is for vic to be antisemitic and for many people to agree with him for significant parts, that's a huge chunk of western population in general so even if disgusting i think it's useful to interact with them. We aren't talking some fringe leftist equivalent of white supremacy storm front or whatever , which being small in society doesn't deserve any space or validation online either, we are talking stuff which 20-40% of the population in most western countries agree with.

I dont know how much truth there is to this, but I was reading something on my Twitter feed what I thought an interesting possibility. That Putin is behind Iran/Hezbollah getting more active against Israel. And that is that Putin realizes the west is going to prioritize Israel over Ukraine; so he wants Iran to walk a tightrope where they are antagonistic enough with Israel (without full blown war) to distract the west from Ukraine.

And for good or bad, Israel does need to deal with Hezbollah. No nation can have heavily armed militias on their borders attacking their border towns, which is exactly what is going on. So Iran/Hezbollah antagonize Israel up to the point Israel goes into a full blown war with Hezbollah (but not Iran) and the west focuses completely on this, and Ukraine is ignored, helping Putin out.

And this wagging the dog approach is also helpful to Iran. The IRI is EXTREMELY unpopular, so they are going with the tried and true method that most Middle East nations turn to of riling up their antisemitic base to shore up support at home.
