i think gman will feel left out with all these hand histories so please put his name in lieu of villain in the next one so he feels like he was part of it
I don't actually know. I was trying to build a pot with what I thought was a good hand.
So the relative value of a hand will change on various flop textures.
So even though AA is a very good hand (some may even argue it's the best!) coming from pre flop land, when you get to the flop it goes through a recalibration.
So on flops of like A 7 2; 223; Q 5 2. It will retain or even increase it's value.
But when you're looking at 456; 678; it becomes drastically reduced to the point where you are playing it like a bluff catcher and the deeper the stacks this effect gets magnified.

slow down
breathe
take a moment
now ask yourself what exactly am I trying to accomplish in this hand in the circumstances that I am in. I have AA in a single raised pot V bb Heads up 200 bigs deep and there are currently 7bb in the pot on a flop of 764hh.
This is not a hand that I really want to go to war with. This hand is fcuking ossum preflop and I want to pile. Post flop in these circumstances This hand kinda sux
stop clicking buttons. you are better than this.

Thanks for the feedback
I got obliterated last night. Flop trips and they river a 2 outer (i raised pre and bet flop, turn, and river), sets on both bomb pot boards and I can’t pair the board, QQ < AK in a 3b pot vs a player who plays big and likes to put pressure on, and on and on. Someone walked into the game and offered $100 for their seat… I snap called. It was the best hand I won all night. 😃
On the plus side it’s dirtbike season. I put some laps in today and found out fast I need to get in moto shape.

Im sending a cuddle all the way from Australia to bumf*ckcolorado
Thanks to likely horrendous preflop/flop play plus a nasty runout, I managed to lose just 20bbs in a set over set spot, lol @ me. This about an orbit after jamming AK into an overlimping/reraising AA preflop for 80bbs (hey, that **** really does work, even against me, lol). Considered it a minor victory only booking a 50bb loss overall.

I folded AA OTF on Friday night after making a terrible raise 200+ bb deep.
Hero raises red AA from utg to 3bb, BB calls.
Flop(7bb): 8h6c4h
BB checks, H bets 6bb, BB raises to 12bb, H raises to 50bb, BB jams 150bb more, H mucks. BB shows 86
Pretty sure that's a call against the click-back at 200bb deep, and the raise is bad. I was just thinking of building a pot, and "if I don't get stacked running big pairs into sets some of the time, I'm doing it wrong." But I still folded when I got what I wanted
I'd legit *consider* folding to the original flop check/raise against most (for realz, we block Axhh semibluffs and in general most people ain't min check/raising much we're doing all that great against except for perhaps the hand we ran into). If calling, it is often to fold to a non-helping turn. I would never consider reraising this deep.

I think cuddle is a code word....
University of YouTube for the win again. AC went out, and the HVAC guy said "bad fan motor, $1K." I bought one on Amazon for $110, and installed it myself. Easy peasy, except for removing the fan itself from the old motor. It was stuck so badly I had to cut the shaft off with a saws-all so that I could then hammer the dang thing off. Still, so worth it for saving $890.
After booking my only loss of the month yesterday (-340 bb) I returned with a vengeance today, winning 540 bb.
Biggest hand today, pretty standard although pre is slightly interesting.
$5/5. Very loose table. Hero limps A♦A♥ UTG. 2 more limps. Button raises to $55. BB raises to $140. Hero calls. Button calls.
Flop Q♦6♥4♣ (pot $435)
BB bets $220. Hero calls. Button raises to $335 all-in. BB calls. Hero calls.
Turn T♥ (pot $1440)
BB checks. He has $200 left so I jam now. BB calls. I'm obviously way ahead of everyone unless Button has QQ.
River 2♥ (pot $1880)
Button shows AQo. BB mucks. I scoop.

What was the trick youre using to run so good? somebody said it had to do with posting HH in this thread? I am considering changing my overall strategy and following your example but just wanted to clarify the approach is all.
1) play against lots of idiots
2) be the best player in the player pool
3) don't get too many bad beats or bad runouts in big pots
In the short term number 3 matters most, but in the long run 1 and 2 will carry you.
I'm also not posting HHs to ask for advice or discuss strat, I only post them for comedy (to display how badly they play). If you have to seriously ask if I'm running better because I posted some HHs, no, don't do that.
oh i was being absolutely facetious implying that the mere RITUAL ACT of posting a HH somehow blesses the player with the ability to run good.
I mean it from the perspective: i've already sacrificed a chicken. Promised satan my first born (jokes on them tho, i cant have kids lol), and havent changed my socks from the ones i wore the last time I ran AT or above expectation.

Yeah point 3 is ****ing crushing me.
Basically if the Total Pot (in BBs) is < than 30% of my BI when all the money goes in, I run at or above expectation. But in all other situations, if I am an 80% fav when money goes in - the RESULTS operate as if I were 20% dog. so, Im willing to try almost anything.
KS, Don, and Ace:
The main reason why spc is doing the wheel race and not the RAM is the number of bikers getting nailed by autos during those events just isnt cool. She has been unable to find an acceptable "safe" route to get to yer neck of the woods that doesnt have snow issues at the moment. Sadly its looking like we will not be heading to colorado prior to the wheel race
