FWIW, I do that if I can't (or don't want to) talk on the phone at that time. Usually while I'm in virtual meetings where I can easily text but not talk on the phone. Or because I've told employees that if they don't want to email or chat they'll have to schedule a call.

Because I didn't do anything wrong. FEDEX did and now I have to correct their F---up.
Ebay asked if the problem was resolved.
I replied that it was not.
Ebay replied that the case is closed and the seller will not reimburse me because FEDEX said the package was delivered.

Ebay asked if I wanted to appeal the decision to close the case.
I replied that I wanted to appeal the decision and that I wanted proof from FEDEX that the package was delivered.

I'm supposed to use a new/different accounting software that's only available for Windows. Annoying but shouldn't piss me off because that's not uncommon for that kind of software.
Ordered a ThinkPad to the office and only realized a week later that customized Lenovo laptops are assembled in China and shipped via UPS from there. Didn't see anything about that while ordering, pretty annoying. A week after ordering they emailed me that shipping was delayed.
So I went to Amazon to order a ThinkPad with next day delivery (today) to my house. Waited a couple hours for a shipment confirmation and once that arrived I went to the Lenovo website to cancel the first order. By that time it had already shipped though, less than 24 hours after telling me shipping was delayed. On top of that, apparently it takes only 3 days for a shipment from China so come Friday I have a Windows laptop at home and one in the office. Knowing myself I can already tell I won't send one of them back unless it's broken or not what I ordered.
