Who Wants To Be A (not real) Millionaire?
I found a website that has a ton of WWTBAM questions so why not try it out here, who's interested?
Will be 10 questions instead of 15 as the first 5 (0 to £1,000) are pretty easy anyway, 3 lifelines will be:
50/50 (i'll randomly remove 2 incorrect answers)
Phone A Friend (Another POGger, doesn't have to be involved in this thread i'll just PM them the question and explain)
Ask The Host (Same as Phone A Friend but will be asking myself instead)
£2,000
£4,000
£8,000
£16,000
£32,000 - If you reach here you're guaranteed minimum of £32,000
£64,000
£125,000
£250,000
£500,000
£1,000,000
Who wants to go first? First come first served! Obviously no research allowed
****, I have no clue.
I'll phone IBD, since he's ITT and probably knows this.
PM sent to IBD
Dz is right here wtf
Luckily for eb, I had a turn as Lt. Brannigan in the limited run 2010 Chicago revival of Guys and Dolls.
nice one!
I think it’s up to eb to bold it, but if he loves me a bushel and a peck (and a barrel and a heap), then he should go ahead and bold C.
Guys and Dolls
Thanks IBD!
Luck be a lady tonight!
Theater is definitely one of my weak points.
Had absolutely no clue on that question; couldn't even use 50/50 since I'd still be completely guessing no matter what was left.
Yep well done IBD! Onto the £250,000 question with still 2 lifelines left:
In the animal world, the two types of monotreme are the echidna and what?
A) Wombat
B) Possum
C) Platypus
D) Bandicoot
I was pretty much expecting a pm from PC when I saw the question. :p
Platypus
Maybe it's me, but I think that was easier than all of the previous 4 questions.
Yeah I think it's definitely just you :p
£500,000 question!
In which city did the poet John Keats die?
A) Copenhagen
B) Brussels
C) Rome
D) Vienna
50/50 me.
I've just realised I need to see the answer to 50/50 it so i'll replace Ask the Host with another Phone A Friend if you still need help
C) Rome
D) Vienna
Not the 2 I wanted to see.
Sure, I'll ask Dr Z, since he was so offended I didn't ask him last time.
PM sent
Urrrrr
So im unsure. Id have guessed keats was part of the group with byron and shelley who spent alot of their summers in the alps writing books- and that would tend towards rome as an answer but vienna also makes sense
I dont know to be true
I have no justification for one over the other.
Don't know if this is easier for UK people or not.
But in any case, pass.
I had no clue either, tough question.
Correct answer was Rome, congrats to eb he walks away with £250,000!
1) £250,000 - eb
2)
3)
...
It puts him top of the leaderboard, next to play is AmazingErvin
Question 1 for £2,000:
Henry VIII first wife was Catherine of what?
A) Aragon
B) Andover
C) Arden
D) Actium
that's a tough first question!
