This. I am disappointed that on a poker forum that has traditionally been obsessed with statistics, we are going with a sample size of two in our determination to prove that women are not electable. That is especially true when Harris was an absolutely awful candidate from the get-go, who was thrust upon all of us because of DNC incompetence. A qualified and charismatic woman wouldn't have a problem getting elected. The problem is that, for reasons that are a complete mystery to me, the Democr

Right... Those awful awful unqualified women who can't get the while male vote against the grab em by the pussy reality star guy is definitely not a datapoint to examine. Nothing to see here.

You guys keep saying woman with 20 years of experience across all our branches of government is unqualified and I don't think you understand what that word means

by coordi k

I realize you guys love to repeat this ad nauseum as if you calling her DEI isn't intended to be demeaning of her race and gender. Its blatant.

I see we are now in the "Everyone I disagree with is a racist" stage of forum discourse. I personally think the opinions you posted just a few hours ago about Hispanics makes you racist garbage, so maybe there is a bit of projection going on here on your part.

Biden explicitly stated that he put Harris in there because she was a black woman. He passed over several obvious running mates that were much more qualified and electable than Harris just to be able to nominate a black woman, of which there were like three possibilities. You don't have to like that people are calling her a DEI hire or whatever, but that is what happens when you publicly admit that it is the only reason that Harris was in that spot.

According to RFK they're still talking. The country's biggest anti-vaxxer wants at the FDA:

Chris Christie called RFK a useful idiot last night and that RFK shouldn't go around blabbing to everyone like this because Trump is incredibly likely to drop him because he brings baggage that Trump wont want to deal with. I think hes spot on

by coordi k

I'd guess RFK has already been dumped by Trump.

Wrong.

Trump mentioned him in his victory speech. How he's going to be a big part of the administration.

MAHA baby.

Musk might make it through the inauguration. Hes incredibly useful

I don't know whether RFK isn't just a closet Trump man at this point in time and will sell his soul to him on a personal relationship level such that he will wind back his desire for change. Particularly the talk about the healthier food and manufacturing as to change that it would require more stringent regulations and that is not something which is pro Trump.

Lessons dems should take away: become more racist, more classist, more “queerphobic”, and more pro-Jewish

I think the lessons for the dems is that they should abandon this collective tribalism of a one size fits all approach for all Americans. People are too different from on another to be bungled into some single lens. Nobody want's that.

Furthermore, Trump wasn't some messiah, less people voted for him this year.

The other side got 15 million less votes.

Yeah, because what Trump says is always what he does, lmfao.

Yeah you have a twisted view of what is and isn't racist if you think holding the opinion that latinos voted against their self intrest is racist but actual racism by Trump is.... something else?

YOU don't know what qualified means. What is the main qualification for being a politician? The ability to win elections. She has shown that she was not able to do that in 2020, the Biden admin knew she was a liability by keeping her out of the limelight for the vast majority of his presidency, and it is definitively proven by her landslide loss to what should have been a layup opponent.

About time that corrupt organisation gets gutted.

I want to just say there was a potential good woman candidate in Whitmer but like other candidates (the Pennsylvania governor, etc). They chose I believe to avoid this election as they either didn't have enough time to run and get their name across or just didn't want to be subjected to Trump being their opponent and wanted a clean run in 2028. Seems wise of them to do that because I don't think there was an opponent that could beat Trump particularly after that assassination attempt.

By saying he was not using the full field of candidates, it limits his chances of picking the best person for the job

No it doesn't. What if the best person for the job is a black woman? What if he already knew that when he said that?

What if I told you I wanted to pick the best NBA player and I was going to pick a black male. Would I limit my chance of picking the best player?

Telling Hispanic people that they are too stupid to know how to vote correctly is blatantly racist. I still have yet to hear how exactly Hispanics "voted against their interests", besides the disgusting implication that their friends and families are all illegals and subject to deportation. You are the reason that the Dems will continue to lose elections. Unfortunately, you are too lacking in awareness or empathy to be able to figure out that you are the problem.

They need to get back to their base and yes that will mean some rollback of their environmental initiatives to generate more growth in the US economy. They also need to rollback the extent of their humanitarian causes if you call it that by their open border policy. The next candidate has to commit to keeping Trump's border policies in place.

Can’t argue with “she’s unqualified because she lost the election”. Giga brained analysis friendo

Plus fundamentally liberals don"t really have an issue with tariffs if we look at what was historically the traditional blue collar representation and its affiliation with the unions.

Tariffs aren't the issue. Blanket tariff policy based on nothing but ignorance is.

You’re actually too dumb to argue with. What % of Hispanic voters have a lineage from illegal immigration? Don’t worry I’ll wait

We already know this isn't true, as there were several very detailed articles written about the process that resulted in Harris as VP in 2020.

The lesson here is you can't expect the electorate to make an informed decision when they aren't even remotely informed.

'Did Joe Biden Drop Out' Google Searches Spike on Election Night, Suggesting Many Americans Had No Idea He Wasn't Running
Joe Biden dropped out of the race in July and endorsed Kamala Harris

Internet searches for "Did Joe Biden drop out" jumped on election night, suggesting that some Americans had no idea the current president was not running again.

The spike began around 6 a.m. on Election Day, and continued to rise over the course of the day until reaching its peak at midnight Wednesday, according to Google Trends. After a brief drop overnight, searches for the question spike again around 8 a.m.

This is a serious misdiagnosis imo.

Are there people whose main goal in life is to prove that black people are genetically predisposed to commit crime? Are there people whose main goal in life is to return women to the era of Mad Men? Are there people in life whose main goal in life is to make the world as miserable as possible for transgender people? Yes to all three. And **** those people. There is no way to appeal to them as voters that is consistent with human decency. And on a more p

Of course you’re right, I’m just mocking the people on both sides who are trying to diagnose the “lessons” that we ought to learn from this.

Probably if we are going to take it to the realm of social issues, Democrats have to shed this label of cancel culture and being anti-free speech. That’s the more substantive thing that can be done here. They also need to embrace new media because nobody trusts legacy media. And if they are going to be a big tent they can’t half-ass it.

by Gorgonian k

Just checking in to say I was obviously wrong. I don't care nearly as much about me being wrong as I do about the country I recently became a citizen of being wrong. Again. Disappointed isn't the word for it. Disgusted is much more accurate.

For those that voted for Trump and especially those that defended and promoted that piece of absolute st, just now I think that you are the stupidest and most vile pieces of trash on the planet.

Thanks bro. Spoken like a true butthurt liberal.

It's fun being right after the trash you and others displayed here.

So Smith is going to toss the federal cases?

Axios: Trump's tariffs: How they work, and who would pay

A 2019 study estimated that by the end of 2018, "Import tariffs were costing U.S. consumers and the firms that import foreign goods an additional $3 billion per month in added tax costs."

Additionally, the study found the tariffs were allowing U.S. producers to increase their prices because they faced less foreign competition.

Under both the Trump and Biden administrations, according to the Tax Foundation, trade war tariffs have generated "more than $233 billion of higher taxes collected for the U.S. government from U.S. consumers."

Good luck with that inflation middle America...

Who even are you bro? You came around after the election like a coward. Gorgonian has the balls to actually put their opinion out there instead of waiting in the wings like a little goblin, too much of a wuss to actually put their opinion our there to be criticized.
