What Diesel is doing investment wise is fine, maybe not ideal but people can do alot worse.

He's probably ahead of 80% of people out there in terms of his savings.

Most people in his position have negative net worths, generally in credit card debt or their portfolio is in 3 figures/low 4 figures.

He's actually doing pretty well for himself if his goal is to sustain his current lifestyle, he's going to make a "passive" low 4 figure monthly income (posting daily low effort vlogs and shitty newsletter) which will cover the majority of his expenses and the dealing job to cover the rest.

Eventually his portfolio will get to a point where he can stop dealing too.

Poker is just for him to get comps and promos and status at this point, as long as he breaks even he's happy.

His life is objectively not good, but it's still better than alot of misfit ppl like him usually are, living off welfare or in their car or just straight up being homeless on the streets.

We keep holding him to regular people standards when instead we should compare him to basement dweller/anti-work types that can't hold down jobs.

Diesel will not be going away anytime soon and actually does have a plan unlike the other misfit vloggers so in a way he's doing "well" for himself.

and I don't buy that he's mooching off his parents like someone like pman is doing.

Sure he probably gets something and his parents are likely well off, but no ones living the way Diesel is if they had family money coming in.

I would bet the extent of what he's getting is is staying at his parents a few months of the year and they probably gifted him his car (their parents bought a new car and gave him their old one kinda thing) but overall it seems like Diesel is committed to making it on his own in his own way.

If his parents are really well off and all he's getting is the above and he isn't accepting more like other vloggers we know he should honestly be commended for that.

Does he steal condiment packets and get dinners paid for by generous friends and is a cheap ass? Yes

Is his personality off-putting and is he annoying? Yes

Is he a bad person? I don't think so

His vlogs are so boring and repetitive I'm surprised non-fans people still even watch them and still make comments criticizing him. He will never change and he will not be going away, his vlogs will stay the same, he will keep calling people miserable and haters. There's no train wreck factor with him, his meltdowns are over losing a $200 pot. It's time this thread focuses on the next great vlogger.

If you actually dislike the Diesel then the best thing you can do is not give him views.

Yes, he is on the spectrum and has certain challenges in life due to that diagnosis-that doesent mean he is bound to live like a homeless loser dressing like he lives on the streets or eat worse than you do in prison.

For example he thinks the only options are to make a pittance and spend next to nothing or make 200k a year but spend more than that burying yourself in debt.

Are there idiots who make a lot of money and are still broke bc of their spending habits? Absolutely. But that doesn't mean it's one of only two options.

Diesel struggled to make good money in the working world so he thinks it's just not possible bc he's a genius so if a genius can't do it nobody can.

He makes less than ten dollars an hour at poker and maybe made 15 at his peak so he thinks nobody can do better.

15 bucks an hour is not that hard even for a recfish like me that plays 150 hours a year. Geez I did twice that overall and even better than that in 5 days in Vegas playing morning afternoon and night games.

The thing that makes Rice so entertaining to follow is the fact that he goes around genuinely believing that he's the smartest and greatest person on the planet. Hes blissfully ignorant of the fact that he is grossly underperforming in life according to every single objective metric. Like, i have encountered alot of losers and underperformers in life over the years but most of them know it themself to a degree, or they are at least not bragging in daily YT videos showing the world on a daily basis how massive they are underperforming and still believe they know every topic better.
