This three stage plan sounds extremely fragile. I don't get why this is big news. Is Israel really gonna allow these monsters to regroup? I hope the plan is to get the hostages back and then go back in harder than ever.

The leader of Hamas, residing in Qatar, just gave a speech. Among other things, he declares the last 400+ days since 10/7 a great victor for the Palestinian and Muslim people, says Hamas will not forgive or forget and will enact vengeance against Israel and its collaborators (presumably the US) and declares they will retake Jerusalem.

The people of Gaza are clearly in good hands and have a bright future ahead of them with guys like this calling the shots. And as far as Qatar, with friends like this who needs enemies.

I get lots of Twitter posts from this guy on my timeline. He has severe TDS and criticizes Trump pretty much nonstop, from every direction. I dont know what truth you are expecting to find from a serial Trump detractor doing his thing, but prepare to be disappointed.

I dont really see how this plan gets through stage 1. The chance of getting to stage 3 is pretty much 0.0. Hamas is just stalling to survive politically as long as they can, I guess in the hopes that their geopolitical position improves in the future through some unknown mechanism. I mean who knows what the future will hold? I dont see a path for Hamas out of this, but I am not clairvoyant.

I am not sure what point Victor was even making by quoting this guy, but it seems like when he is taking a break from criticizing Trump and Netanyahu he is pro ceasefire. So seems whatever point Victor was trying to make is pretty invalidated.

Well, on it's own probably not a lot. But combine it with a few other things like the Sachs repost and the fact that Bibi wasn't invited to the inauguration makes those of us with a suspicious nature a little bit curious. Put it that way.

There is a political crisis that Bibi is trying to resolve to approve the deal. no ruse. Also, the deal was finalized but not approved yet, so you are mischaracterizing the facts.
Moreover, what exactly do you think Israel has to gain from this "ruse"?

they want the hostages and pows back and they want the Gazan Palestinians to disarm without the IDF leaving the Strip or ending the blockade (so they can be further slaughtered and enslaved no doubt).

Yes they want to fully eradicate Hamas (and all the other "resistances") destroying any possibility for "resistance" to happen ever again and they are absolutely right.

I thought they would have tried to get the hostages first for free though through this "ceasefire", looks like Hamas realized there was no intention to respect any ceasefire as I claimed immediately.

How is Israel not negotiating in good faith? Israel has been very open the war with Hamas ends when Hamas is gone. And ceasefires aren't going to change this.

That is why Hamas has refused ceasefires. Because their only interest is their own political survival, and they are indifferent to the Palestinian people. Both sides seem to be going through the ceasefire due to pressure from Trump, with no expectation this is a permanent end to hostilities. Hamas for its part is very open this is just an interlude until they conquer Israel and take their vengeance on the US.

Also, I am sure Hamas calculates once fighting stops, there is a chance it never restarts (until they are ready to being the conquest of Israel) and they survive. And the ceasefire allows them to regroup and rearm when the UN can restart smuggling them arms.

Pro Tip: wait till Bib actually fulfills his end of the bargain before running a victory lap.
