2025 WSOP!!

2025 WSOP!!

I know it’s early and normally I’m not excited about WSOP this soon after but dang it, I’m itching to go back already!

I made some deep runs and cashed in 2024 but still feel unfulfilled by going home without some hardware on my wrist.

2025 is my year!!

Any thoughts on how the GG purchase might change it in 2025, if at all? I suspect it will be pretty similar to last year but with more online qualifiers, satellites, and events.

Mine shows gold, too. I have Diamond through my Wyndham Business Earners credit card. How do you guys have Diamond? I’m wondering if the credit card route no longer matches to Diamond or if it’s a glitch on Caesar’s end that they’ll hopefully correct soon.

Well shoot. Just read an article that Wyndham no longer matches. That changes a lot. Not sure what to do now for my WSOP trip….if I go. All up in the air.

Someone has an answer to this, booked my room last week (with Diamond status, no resort fees), now Im back to gold do they charge the resort fees for my stay after my trip?😬

You have a confirmed reservation at a confirmed price which included any resort fees (NONE as a Diamond) they will honor the deal. What MAY be at risk is the free valet parking and you (and I ) have certainly lost our rewards dinner voucher of $100.

I was dropped from Diamond to Platinum myself.

If you want you can confirm this information with a call directly to the Hotel you booked at. Now If i were you I would PRINT out a copy of the confirmation with the details of the pricing that you would have received via email at the time you made the reservation.

Dr Meh - per the Wyndham site the business earners card still shows Diamond as a benefit

Now they may have just not updated the site but what article did you see where that business relationship was severed ? I'm already bummed out about the Founders Card.

**** - it looks like they may have per this google search
Starting February 1, 2025, Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card holders will no longer be able to match their status into Caesars Rewards. This change will affect cardholders who have used their status to match with Caesars Rewards.

I read it here:

https://milestalk.com/caesars-drops-wyndham-business-earner-as-status-match-what-to-do-now/

And it’s all over Reddit and other sites. That said, everything I’ve read has been from a month or two ago. Maybe they hashed out a last second deal and still offer it? But that would be odd since I’m reverted to Gold now. All indications are it’s over.

I just called and they said I’m Gold but Wyndham Business Earners can call and request Diamond and they’ll match. Seems odd. Tried calling the rewards place today but it’s Saturday and they’re only open Monday through Friday. I’ll try again Monday.

Thanks Meh, I found similar info I posted above after my comments directly to you. I've been in direct contact with Founders Card and it is definitely dead in the water for now unless they resurrect it like they did last year. Kind of a mess for us all around it seems.

But I am sure if you already booked hotel package when you were Diamond, they will honor the booking !

I was Diamond Plus and as of today Diamond. I am not sure what I will be loosing. !!

Feb 20 was a smart bet whoever said that

I'm able to stay in MGM properties as a Gold member with no resort fees. I get the status because I'm Diamond level at Royal Caribbean cruise lines. Nice option, since the resort fees are so significant. I'll be paying $300 for three nights at the Excalibur, which is an easy walk to Horseshoe and also to Aria. I stayed at the Shoe last year, which is convenient, but saving a few hundred is worth it.

Kevin,
Excalibur to Horseshoe is 1.5 miles . In summer heat that is at least 15-20 minutes walk.

I did Excalibur to Resorts World once last year in June. If you know the properties well, you can limit outdoor exposure.

Without breaks, it was about an hour of walking.

The route was Excalibur -- NYNY -- Crystal Shops -- Cosmo -- Bellagio -- Flamingo -- LINQ -- Harrah's -- Venetian -- Palazzo -- Wynn -- Encore -- Resorts.

I would not recommend such a long hike in summer. I was tired by the time I got to RW and played badly that day.

However, Excalibur to ParisShoe is quite a bit shorter. I did that walk last year for the Milly Maker and timed it at 30 minutes.

I've landed on Harrah's as the best location if you plan to play everywhere in Vegas since it's walkable to everything (Aria, WSOP, Venetian, Wynn) .

ParisShoe is best if you plan to exclusively grind the WSOP. Flamingo, Bellagio, PH, and Ellis Island are also extremely easy to/from the WSOP.

Anyone use the monorail to get around?

Seeing something weird trying to book at Horseshoe. It now recognizes the WSOP25 discount code but when I applied it, it said 'no rooms available' for the dates I specified. Their rate calender showed very few days for which that discount applied. WTF? When I removed that discount code the rooms became available for the dates I specified. I was 'experiment booking' to see what the rates are looking like. Is it just too early to apply that discount code or are they just being stingy on dates the

I checked again. WSOP25 discount shows up at Paris and other nearby Caesars properties for all WSOP dates but for very few dates at the Horseshoe. These other properties are pricier, of course.

One summer I did... do not recommend.

The rates I get using this code make my prices higher... wtf

How come?

For the same dates did you check Linq or Harrah’s ?

For those of you who are more cost conscious you can use the bus which goes up and down the strip 24/7. Cost is $4.00 each way or you can get a day pass for $8.00 which would get you unlimited rides. It is sort of crazy to walk up and down the strip with tempatures over 100 degrees and probably 130 + coming off the asphalt. I have only used it a few times and never waited much more than 5 minutes for a bus. See link below.

Do we know anything about the $5,000,000 freeroll for players who register for 3+ bracelet events this year, and the daily $25,000 hot seat drawings for cash game players? I'm waiting for details to be released.. ugh

It's not a bad idea depending on where you are staying. One year I rented a AirB&B near Sahara which has the Northern most monorail station. Jumped on at the Sahara station and was at Horseshoe/Paris in no time for cheap, and skip a 25 minute walk in the broiling sun. It just depends on what casino or AIRB&B you are staying at and how close the nearest station is.
Now if you like to walk and it's not really hot outside and or early enough in the morning so it's not broiling, 25 minutes won't kill you, I like to walk, if I have time.
You can check out the map on the Las Vegas Monorail Website, then jump on Mapquest and do some walking routes from your hotel to the different stations to see how long it takes in all.

I had sent an email to Caesar’s Rewards asking them to move me back to Diamond. I received a response today saying Wyndham no longer matches. This is contrary to what they told me on the phone yesterday. It seems they don’t even know what’s going on with it. I’ll still try calling tomorrow, but it sounds like it isn’t going to happen

It's not really an easy walk in June.
