Donald J. Trump (For everyone else except Victor)
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
You don't clean out government with a handful of computer hackers with no security clearance and no oversight or accountability ****ing around with the electronic keys to everything. It's the worst possible thing you could do.
You do the audit with them.
There is oversight given they don't make any final decision. They do the audit then the agency involved with the audited cases they present decides. Why do you keep lying as if DOGE could interrupt a program or payment by itself? they can't.
They send the bloody trail to the agency implicated with the fraud or illegal violation , after having audited line by line because they are smarter than others so they can do that fast, and the agency with full constitutionally granted executive powers makes the call about what to do with the facts presented to them by DOGE.
And you do clean out fraud, waste, and illegal misuses of money that way. How else do you propose to check the destination of every dollar and guarantee not a single one goes directly or indirectly to any DEI initiative for example?
Who else except young motivated people with IQ 150+ on the spectrum and with good coding skills would go through EVERY SINGLE RENTAL ARRANGEMENT OF EVERY SINGLE AGENCY and crosscheck with actual uses for that building to identify any instance of waste in that area?
I think some of you guys need to read up on how Hitler dismantled the German constitution using the legal means within his powers in less than 2 months of taking over. This is what happens when you design democratic systems with the false assumption that someone in power will be sane and democratic and respect basic human dignity, morality and ethics.
But I guess you wouldn't want to know, are too stupid to understand, or dont care. Or it may be your wet dream. Wouldn't be a surprise if it were.

In August 2023, USAID launched its historic LGBTQI+ Inclusive Development Policy. The policy recognizes that locally-led development that includes LGBTQI+ persons strengthens livelihoods, economies, and democracies. It also provides a blueprint for integrating LGBTQI+ individuals into USAID policy and programming.
Since the policy’s release, momentum has shifted to action. Keep reading for five ways that policy has become programming.

Yeah, a guy worth a half trillion dollars beelined straight to all the money because he wants to conduct an audit. Damn, you guys are so ****ing brainwashed.
So, in addition to shutting down public health information websites, it looks like we now have RFK jr. in control of our health and well being. Happy days.

I suspect it might be too late.
And yes to all of the above.
I am asking what he thinks.
I just think DEI is illegal discrimination by the state and shouldn't be allowed, nor promoted in foreign countries. But cordie thinks it's impossible it even happened (that it got promoted with american taxpayers money), maybe because he thinks it's too outrageous to even entertain as an idea. Or maybe not
My assumption is they paid 1.5 million to push progressive social reform in Serbia and probably had a fairly complex but well rounded mission statement.
Framing it as "funding Serbian DEI" is at best a propaganda filled mischaracterization and is probably closer to a bold faced lie designed to infuriate its target. The American people aren't equipped to handle a direct pipeline of Trumps ass fumes to their nostrils.
And no, I don't think spending 1.5 million on foreign social reform is a waste of money. Trump spent more than that on his boys golfing trip this weekend.
I'm going to go more old-school. I was listening to something about Caligula last night and heard a lot of similarities, so had Gpt do me the honours.
1. Populist Rise to Power
Caligula: Became emperor after Tiberius, initially popular due to his connection to Augustus and his promises of restoring Rome’s greatness.
Trump: Rose to power as a political outsider, promising to "Make America Great Again" and appealing to populist sentiment.
2. Cult of Personality & Media Influence
Caligula: Promoted himself as a god, built statues of himself, and demanded excessive loyalty.
Trump: Cultivated a strong media presence, used branding, and demanded loyalty from allies while branding opponents as traitors.
3. Extravagance & Wealth Display
Caligula: Known for lavish spending, throwing extravagant feasts, and draining the Roman treasury.
Trump: Emphasized personal wealth, luxury (e.g., Trump Tower, Mar-a-Lago), and a billionaire lifestyle.
4. Controversies & Accusations of Tyranny
Caligula: Accused of erratic behavior, cruelty, and paranoia, reportedly making impulsive decisions and executing enemies.
Trump: Frequently accused of authoritarian tendencies, such as attacking the media, firing officials who opposed him, and questioning election results.
5. Relationship with the Senate & Political Establishment
Caligula: Clashed with the Roman Senate, humiliated senators, and centralized power.
Trump: Clashed with the Washington establishment (Congress, FBI, intelligence agencies), calling them part of the "Deep State."
6. Allegations of Nepotism
Caligula: Appointed family members and personal favorites to high positions.
Trump: Gave key roles to family members (Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner) and loyalists.
7. Public Theatrics & Outrageous Statements
Caligula: Allegedly planned to make his horse a consul, made bizarre decrees.
Trump: Known for bold, sometimes shocking statements on social media and at rallies.
(My own addition would be they both had no experience, and were grossly unqualified. Caligula distained the Senate and the political elites, but realised he didn't need them if he just bribed the Praetorian Guard to be loyal to him, and threaten/kill anyone opposing him.)
Of three differences it came up with, I think the bottom two are pretty amusing.
Caligula was assassinated at age 28 after a brief, chaotic rule, while Trump finished his term and is running for re-election.
Caligula’s brutality was extreme, involving torture and executions, while Trump operated within democratic institutions.
Caligula’s rule was absolute monarchy, while Trump faced legal checks and balances.

If a constitution is badly written that's what happens yes.
Hitler was allowed to use the fire at the parliament building (which nazis did) to pass a decree that suspended a lot of rights, after which he incarcerated his politcal opponents lol.
I mean any constitution that allows for that to happen is... utter trash.
And that was during a political campaign to re-elect parliament after... Hitler decided to call elections (against something that the constitution shouldn't allow, but i know parliamentary systems are redicolous like that even these days in some cases, see Canada or the UK).
Then after all this Hitler got 44% of parliament. Which still required him to have partners to pass the "empowering laws" (basically to suspend the constitution). At least here the constitution had a qualified threshold. Still. LOLOLOL At the idea that 66% of parliament is enough to suspend the constitution.
So anyway it took basically most of the elected politicians for the constitution to be suspended. And various passages that allowed that to happen only were possible because the constitution was very badly written to begin with.

Now, i know your intention is to claim something similar is happening in the USA. Your problem is simply that it isn't in any way shape or form, both because it simply isn't happening, and because it can't happen within the legal system with american constitutional protections.
Of what use is the experience of something happening elsewhere useful to understand today's events that have absolutely nothing in common? none, except the incessant attempt to use "the worst person ever" as comparison for every politician you guys on the left hate

So it is DEI, but given you like it and understand DEI is a toxic word, you dislike the word being used because you realize people would agree majoritarily not to finance those efforts.
Pushing anything progressive internationally with state help is something that shouldn't happen. Unless you would allow pushing conservative values as well.
Or the idea is every institution in the country has to be leftist and promote leftist values worldwide, with taxpayers money, no matter who wins elections? i mean i know that's how you guys feel, like the state was yours permanently.
The Nazis put 107 members of Parliament in concentration camps before the vote on the Enabling Act.

DEI is a pejorative to racists but its really just equality.
Brother, you spend the majority of your life spreading your weirdo ideology to this forum for literally no reason other than to stroke your ego, which is weird because you get absolutely dominated in debate over and over and over and over and over..... and over. I think trying to make the world less like Russia and the white supremacist portion of Italy is a noble goal. Not sure why you spend your time on whatever it is you are doing here.

DEI is positive discrimination, it's treating some groups better than others because "reasons". It's pejorative for a majority of americans.
You like DEI. That's fine.
But DEI is not allowed anymore in the federal government, per trump EO (constitutional: no court has said it isn't, no one even attempted to block that as it's perfectly legal for an EO).
DEI is not allowed and DOGE is hunting for all DEI-related expenses so that the agencies, departments and whatnot that oversee those activities can shut them all down.
You disgree because you like DEI. Again. Fine. Accept your side lost though and democratically the representatives of the american people have decided to cancel DEI from the federal government, as the law allows them to do.

Ah, sweet, they found $200 million for Elon. While they're terminating contracts, why don't they pitch the $4 billion Space X bullshit?
to cut expenses? not at all, the onus of proof is on the people who want an expense to exist.
Anyway for the 12912124th time, it's then the specific agencies that decide what to cut given the list. Like they do ordinarily. Only difference is they have a list which is written 100x faster by people who have 0 conflicts of interest and rather the correct bias wrt public expenditure: they hate it in general.

To the entitled (and people deluded enough to think they need to support the entitled), equality feels like persecution.
