We've seen the denial of Oct 07 rapes and other atrocities, red triangles as avatars, Nazi comparisons, gleeful accusations of apartheid, genocide, "hasbara" and every other word in the bad faith debating 101 manual from them and their ilk, so that should tell you all you need to know. They seem absolutely incapable of having an honest discussion, with context and nuance. Israel is absolutely fallible and can be subjected to valid critique. But to try and make out they're actually worse than Hamas is so far fringe nuts it's downright dystopian.

There are other variations of this problem related to housing. Lots of wealthy areas and resort towns don't want to allow cheaper housing and apartments to be built, because they are worried about their property values going down. But not everyone is going to buy a luxury condo or McMansion; you need people to run the town, work the restaurants and shops, etc. In some of the CO mountain towns this is getting untenable.

I don't know, without the immigrants, what excuse will those politicians have on the next blow up? A new common enemy will very likely be necessary, I can see the Greenland, Canada, Mexico and/or Panama thing escalating when (not even if) the economy turns for the worse.

Trump is set to sign an executive order sanctioning the International Criminal Court (ICC) later today for targeting the US and allies, such as Israel, the BBC understands.
The order will see both financial and visa related sanctions applied to individuals assisting the ICC with its investigations into US citizens or allies, as well as their families.

The military class in Egypt is strongly against taking in Palestinians for pragmatic reasons, as is the general populous for moral ones.
Trump could theoretically cut off aid, but don't forget that this is a new multi-polar world. China has trillions of current account surplus to burn, and given the strategic importance of the Suez, I'm sure they would love to have Egypt in their sphere of influence.
