President Elon Musk
He probably deserves his own thread at this point, discuss accordingly
I forgot he had multiple losses lmao. I was thinking of his sexual assault case but oh yeah there was the fraud case too.
You would fall on your sword for this criminal but would shoot other criminals yourself given the task. It’s a wonder to observe
can't answer properly as you are a mod but no, I wouldn't sacrifice myself for anyone who isn't family, no matter what.
and then the trials didn't happen so he isn't guilty. except in NYS where he got a sentence of 0 days in jail.
if the same happens to your friends, they will be free as well.
just trust the system
Yeah they didn't happen because Trump was allowed to delay over and over by judges he appointed and then started to run for president again to keep himself out of jail.
Personally I don't have any "friends" on either side, but I do think if any democrats are actually caught on tape trying to steal an election, they should be prosecuted and convicted.
It's amazing that someone generally as well informed as you thinks it makes no difference that Trump definitely tried to steal the election in several different ways, including one which was out in the open for everyone to see and the other recorded for everyone to hear.
You still seem to think it's just weaponization of the justice system for those treacherous acts to be prosecuted, and that why kind of fraudulent spending of government funds is somehow equivalent to trying to steal the presidential election.
POTUS can delegate the "prime spot" as much as he wants (or not).
that's entirely within his powers.
why do you hate the idea of having a POTUS that, for the time being, decided to (fully legally) delegate some of his powers to another person (who happens to be the most successful businessman in the history of the world)?
In before trump called Elon a bad man/incompetent when their ego clashes ….
your suffering, and the suffering of people like you, is the fuel for the right-wing renovation of the state
I would strongly advise you get a real job, or spend your many hours you waste on the Internet doing something meaningful, or do something, anything, to make your ‘kids’ less ashamed of you
Hope this helps
can't answer properly as you are a mod but no, I wouldn't sacrifice myself for anyone who isn't family, no matter what.
its a saying. "fall on your sword" generally means taking the blame for something but when I say "you would fall on your sword" for Trump I am essentially saying you are vouching for him.
I'm not going to retaliatory ban you for trash talking me.
Elon addressing the nation from next to the presidents desk is unreal to me
This thread is well named!
I'm getting a Baghdad Bob (aka Comical Ali) vibe from that Elon ramble. Anyone here remember him?
I see he brought his human shield in with him. Again, Gulf War vibe, bringing a kid to be a human shield when doing TV....
If one of the defs of fraud/waste they're using is the money was spent on climate change--why are we letting Elon keep his/letting him get even more? Maybe he just doesn't want any competition anywhere--all climate change dollars are now mine kids.
How much criminal fraud has been uncovered so far? Is it still none?
When people claim fraud, and when asked about it, swerve into talking about 'waste', what does that tell anyone with the ability to use critical thinking about the 'fraud'?
I have no idea why I'm quoting diebitter.
This is for all of you apes who want some fingers pointed NOW.
Spoiler
Hey Grok, what happens when you accuse someone of criminal fraud?
When you accuse someone of criminal fraud, several steps and consequences can follow, depending on the jurisdiction and specifics of the case:
Reporting the Allegation:
To Law Enforcement: You might report the fraud to local police, the FBI (in the U.S.), or another relevant law enforcement agency. They will decide whether to investigate based on the evidence and severity of the claim.
To Regulatory Bodies: If the fraud pertains to specific sectors like finance or commerce, you might report it to bodies like the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission in the U.S.) or FTC (Federal Trade Commission).
Investigation:
If an investigation is launched, law enforcement or regulatory bodies will gather evidence, which could include interviews with witnesses, examination of documents, and financial records analysis. This process can be lengthy, often taking months or years.
Legal Actions:
Criminal Charges: If there's sufficient evidence, the accused might be charged with fraud. This involves formal charges being filed, potentially leading to an arrest.
Civil Lawsuit: Parallel to or instead of criminal action, you or affected parties might file a civil lawsuit seeking damages. This doesn't require the same burden of proof as criminal cases.
Court Proceedings:
Criminal: The accused would have rights to legal representation, a trial where evidence is presented, and the opportunity to defend themselves. Outcomes could range from acquittal to conviction with penalties like fines, restitution, or imprisonment.
Civil: Here, the focus is on compensation rather than punishment. If the plaintiff wins, the court might order the defendant to pay damages.
Impact on the Accused:
Reputation: Even if acquitted, the accusation can damage one's reputation, affecting personal and professional life.
Legal Costs: Defending against fraud allegations, especially if it goes to trial, can be very expensive.
Social and Professional Consequences: Employment might be affected; professional licenses could be at risk, and social ostracism is possible.
Impact on the Accuser:
Legal Risks: If the accusation is proven false or malicious, the accuser might face defamation lawsuits or be liable for malicious prosecution.
Time and Resources: Pursuing a fraud case requires time, potentially emotional stress, and financial investment.
Settlements: Many cases might settle out of court, particularly civil ones, where both parties agree to terms to avoid further legal proceedings.
Public Reaction: Depending on the profile of the case, public opinion can sway, impacting both the accused and accuser through media coverage or social media.
Stuff has to happen, and, like, probably, will take some damn time to coalesce.
If one of the defs of fraud/waste they're using is the money was spent on climate change--why are we letting Elon keep his/letting him get even more? Maybe he just doesn't want any competition anywhere--all climate change dollars are now mine kids.
I think this only applies to payment for climate stuff still happening even after Trump EO suspended some of them.
they are calling defying the EOs fraud basically
What I said still completely stands. If people claim fraud, then swerve into 'waste' when questioned, what does that tell you? (Why would they stop talking about fraud if they have some proof of fraud?)
Follow up: What do you call someone who claims fraud when it isn't fraud?

A fraud
its a saying. "fall on your sword" generally means taking the blame for something but when I say "you would fall on your sword" for Trump I am essentially saying you are vouching for him.

I "vouch" (if that means i agree with) for a lot of Trump policies and current attempts at changing the US government.
Not all: i think the tariffs-to-allies strategy is ******ed and destructive for the well being of people in western countries.
I think the unwillingness to reform SS/medicare is long-term very problematic (but it's shared with a lot of democrats as well, and it's understandable for it's political costs).
Still unclear what he wants to do in Ukraine, he could easily end up doing something i very much disagree with.
I fully agree with him on Israel/Gaza, allin pro Israel with a complete disregard of palestinians is the only (for me) morally acceptable position.
But i mean trying to burn down the horrific "international law" system which in the last decades have been weaponized AGAINST THE WEST and in favor of leftist ideals inimical to western countries is very good.
Trying to reduce the power of the federal goverment is very good.
Protecting minors from sterilization and mutilation is very good.
And so on
Posting AI-slop by Grok as a source to defend Musk's "trust me bro"-process as Grok's owner and world's richest man uses the position he corruptly bought as a platform to conduct a non-transparent intrusion into federal institutions with his non-vetted staff is... well... on brand for 2025. All while said man obviously suffers from social media addiction, is by available evidence a drug addict, and just spent 10 minutes rambling and stuttering incoherently about corruption and abolishing courts.
And the people who strongly support this are the same people who are the most likely to go on 10-page diatribes about shadowy and widespread conspiracies that threatens their freedom.
At this point the only truly interesting topic of debate is how low this can go, and how much nonsense Trump supporters and MAGA will choose to believe. The rest just feels like living the Stanford Prison Experiment on a societal scale.
Was this fraud?
How can we tell when the official statement is that they're deep state activists?
"A DHS spokesperson called the employees "deep state activists" in a statement but did not provide further details about the alleged cause for termination."
We'll see if Elon's Twitter strategy of firing 75% of the company works when it comes to government, especially when he said in his Elon State of the Union Address yesterday that he's already made mistakes with the data.
