Let's also ignore that Musk's comments about not batting a thousand and having made mistakes that he's open to corrections about were in relation to the $50,000,000 worth of condoms sent to Mozambique. People aren't questioning whether it should be America's job to pay for African condoms (it isn't), they were just mad that Musk insinuated those condoms were being sent to terrorists in Gaza.
Any other corrections to DOGE activities thus far have resulted in, at worst, a few days delay in certain payment authorizations.
I think you guys should spend more effort debunking Musk's insane story about the limestone mine that prevents more than 10,000 federal workers from retiring every month because the elevator can't fit any more paperwork through it's monthly duty cycle. Can you tell us the pros vs cons of funding this and the pros vs cons of withdrawing this funding? Since it passed congress, there likely are publicly available discussions about these. The major misconception is that the US government is just shipping cash into the ether.
They are buying products from American companies and sending those products around the world using American based shipping and NGOs.

If they wanted to say, lets stop sending aid around the world and focus on enriching social programs for American citizens, then that would be pretty cool. They are actually saying the opposite of this though. They want to gut world aid, reduce American GDP, take money out of American companies pockets, reduce Tax revenue, AND gut American based social programs.
Maybe if they presented a case where anyone wins it would be a lot easier to hop on board.
