I disagree with this. This is a narrative you have been pushing but simply is not true. What is true is that we blame Hamas and all those complicit for the deaths of the children. An innocent child being hurt or killed is horrific. We realize that many of the "children" killed have been child soldiers. This is unfortunate as well. My sense is that when the ant Israeli folks speak of dead Israeli children they are pleased by this because they are more rooted in hate. It may not be so much that they enjoy seeing dead children but more knowing the deaths are causing the parents pain. The Gazans have experienced so much loss in the last 80 years that they celebrate any dead Israeli as a win. I think most Israelis just want the bad guy's eliminated.
The banter in the I/P thread is exactly how it should be. No threats of timeouts. No bans. Just men getting things off their chest. Nobody is being hurt. I get you bringing this up for clarification given how micro managed the forum used to be. I think if people want to reveal who they really are let them. Also, that guy will probably go over the top at some point so I say let
Well, all the personal attacks do objectively make the thread a much worse place.
And I don’t know about you, but I have a giant laundry list of infractions and temp bans for objectively much less. So there is the matter of consistency.

I see it differently. If a random neurotic individual wants to say mean things to me let them. I kinda want to see how far this goes. I suspect this dude isn't gonna be around long anyway. I'd put the over/under at less than 12 hours.
I too have been temp banned for far less. That was under a different MOD who probably should not be modding given how she speaks.

Well, with Karl there is a consistent pattern. He comes in, makes a bunch of personal attacks (eg calling other posters baby killers) and then get a a temp ban. And comes back in a month or two to repeat the whole process.
At this point it would be nice if a mod came in to get the ball rolling, so we can move on. It is just going to escalate and get worse until a mod steps in. And IMO at least it isn’t good for the thread to let this go on too long.

I wasn't familiar with his history so I will defer to you regarding what is best. The more I think about it you are probably right. It would be a shame if the forum was shut down because of one individual. I have a feeling there is a MOD out there who kind of wants this to happen.
Mongidig and Dunyain, the majority of your temps have been for *racist statements*, not personal attacks.

I have also gotten warnings, infractions and temp bans for personal attacks on you that were much more mild than what Karl is doing (and much more true)

I'd generally prefer less references to emotionally charged imagery and more discussion of politics, but I understand its a very emotionally charged subject for many. You guys do a great job of letting Karl come in, throw his tantrums, and continue on like nothing happened.
