They're likely self-insured for things like vandalism at their corporate-owned dealerships.
An insurance payout probably only comes into play if an entire building full of cars goes up in flames, and it's not going to include markup.
There are plenty of non-white people who believe DEI is bullshit, but they're dismissed just as quickly.

There are numerous ways car dealers finance their inventory which may not be the same as Tesla as I understand they do not sell to dealers.
The initial report was that Elon was doing this for the purpose of blaming the violent left. With insurance, it could be zero cost publicity not a money making venture.

in hindsight boycotting car brands looks like the most effective product boycott I ever happened to analyze, because it manages to significantly change utility for non boycotters as well unlike so many other boycotts.
for a normal product, if you boycott say food from Israel, other people who don't care will just happily buy it at a slightly lower price, they are benefitting from your boycott.
if you boycott a movie I don't have queues at the theater and I can find tickets for the time I want to watch it. and so on.
so usually boycotts backfire, unless a huge portion of the demand base for the product/service collectively joins in the boycott.
for cars though, rational people will evaluate resell value so the opinion of others matter.
for ex at this point if a friend asks I will tell him to avoid teslas as it's rational to expect they will depreciate faster, and being potentially the random target of terrorism isn't nice anyway.
