Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD

2+2 Rules

Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...

These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.

To reiterate some of the points:

1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.

2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.

3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.

4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.

5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.

If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
Israel isn't a big place. The moment you aren't in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem, you're out of the tourist places. So go see how people live. Talk to some Arabs and come back to me. Because you'll quickly find out that Jews and Arabs are friends and coworkers in Israel. Whatever weirdo version of this you're painting, isn't true. And fwiw Jerusalem actually is a very good place to go find out. The Muslim quarter, you'll find some answers.

I've been from the very Northern border to Eilat. From Haifa to

Haifa is definitely a tourist place. And Jerusalem is so filled with religious nuttery that I could barely stand it. The energy there is fing weird and honestly left me with the impression that I don't give a **** about any of these people on either side. All those people can take their religious nuttery and shove it up their own pious aholes. I felt like a bomb was going to go off the whole time.

But that doesn't mean I want my money or my country to support apartheid, ethnic cleansing, and genocide.

Armed squatters are ethnically cleansing the Jordan valley of 60,000 residents.

The media storm around the deported college kid and doctor seemed to have evaporated. Did something happen?

Yep. All of that, all of the time, for nearly 60 years now, thanks largely to the US veto on the Security Council.

I'm sure the IDF will now publish the seized documents which supposedly prove that Shabat was 'a sniper in Hamas's Beit Hanoun Battalion'.

https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_e...

Hang on a minute. Did they ever publish the supposed proof that the Bibas children were 'killed with bare hands', rather than being killed, along with their mother, by an IDF bomb?

No, it doesn't seem that they ever did do that. It's almost like they're given to lying.

Where is Blue? I want to make sure that google got this translation right.

Surely this man is facing charges as Blue insisted that such speech is illegal. Maybe Blue can look up this guy's case with his lawyer skills.

As that was in a radio interview and not in the Knesset, it wouldn't be covered by parliamentary privilege. But MKs engage in exterminationist rhetoric like that quite often, and nothing ever happens to them, because in that particular state, under its particular founding ideology, the authorities don't see anything wrong with it.

Doncaster is a small town in Yorkshire.

Could be something or could be nothing, but social media is indicating the Palestinians in Gaza have finally reached their limit with Hamas, and there are massive protests. If so that is big, as Hamas does a very good job using terror and extreme violence to squash dissent; so the costs are extremely high.

Obviously the Western and Arab press will avoid covering such protests like the plague, as it doesn't fit their preferred narrative of Hamas as beloved, popular supported freedom fighters.

We shall see just how real the reports are I guess.

Most of the countries Israel are fighting (and some they aren't such as Turkey) their leaders, religious and secular, regularly hold televised rallies with anti Israel/US rhetoric much worse than this. This kind of rhetoric is pretty tame for this part of the world.

weird to protest Hamas given its the genocidal racist Israelis that are doing the murder.

What world are you living in? The Western press does nothing but blame Hamas, acting like history began Oct. 7th and citing Hamas in covering for every crime against humanity committed by Israel.

As far as Gazans turning on Hamas...even the Israeli hostages profess their love for Hamas. It turns out they are really cool dudes once you get to know them.

the protesters are just begging for their lives to the West. but Hamas or no Hamas, Israel is dead set on exterminating them.

Die if you do , die if you don’t .
U got to admire Israel humanity by forcing them to choose to die by fighting Hamas or to die by Israel hands by not fighting Hamas ain’t it .
Being neutral and just try to live your life (you are for freedom arent you ?) is not possible .
And in both cases, probably their entire family are implicated too .

I’ve seen some bad takes from you over the years but this one is surely worth a medal .
Not topping the refugee from Darfur but it’s in the same ballpark .

Ps:I’m surprise you have a problem about Russia but not with Israel …

How much fuel doe she think is stored in a paraglider tank that they could get from Gaza to England? And does she think there is zero air defense in Israel, let alone along the path from Gaza to England?

I would have liked to have seen the look on her face. I would pay money to see that look because I didn't get to see the look on Israeli faces as they must have thought something like "Oh dear God. Those people we've been trans-generationally torturing have somehow escaped and are coming for us." Horror sets in as the Israeli realizes how angry they themselves would be were they in the position they have put Palestinians and what they would do if anyone did that to them. I would like to see the look someone has for judgement day when they've been very, very naughty for oh so long a time.

I lobe the idea of the planning on how to get past the seemingly impregnable Doncaster defences.

Nah, it is definitely this one:

"Peace in the Middle East will come when the Arabs love their children more than they hate us"

Its an absolutely terrifying quote and says much more about the person who uttered it and the people that support it than about the arabs.

At least its honest. In essence it just say we will not stop laughtering children unless you all do exactly what we want.

I dont see why people applaud stuff like this.

Its always oh we want peace but unfortunately people havent fully submitted to our every demand so guess we just got to keep murdering people.

by mongidig k

I think the world is starting to realize that Hamas = "Palestinians" and "Palestinians" = Hamas. We just had one in this thread pretty much admit it. I used to have sympathy for the Gazans but the more I research the more I find a very high percentage of them support what Hamas is doing. The IDF knows what they are doing and who they are targeting and I assure you its not innocent people.

that is one way of saying I support genocide.

The IDF does know who they are targeting and they intentionally target women and children.

Now based on your rhetoric I wouldn't be surprised if you would argue that even a Palestinian newborn is not innocent and guilty by association.

In essence you are a nazi. would that be fair to say? If someone uses nazi rhetoric to justify a genocide i think its fair to call them a nazi.

I always wonder doesn't it give you a moment of hesitation and self doubt when you sound exactly like the people who justified the holocaust?

Dont you sometimes go wait a moment. I use the same arguments the nazis used against the jews, i support the wholesale slaughter of a group of people just because who they are like a nazi, I dont even care that innocent women and children are getting murdered like a nazi. Am i becoming a nazi?

Does that ever happen?

Its almost as if this was another open call for genocide. It also almost seems as if a lot of people actually support the genocide and know that it happens.

You find these statements everywhere. You see slaughter rape and torture left and right yet when one views this thread there are people supporting israels actions and pretending like its not a genocide.

While at the same time the people perpetrating the genocide essentially say: **** yeah we genocide them and we will genocide them even harder in the future you just ****ing watch.

So hm Columbia SJP (students for justice in palestine) activated an instagram 4 hours before 10/7

https://x.com/gil_zussman/status/1904511...

If the finding is confirmed in court (even if it's just a civil case) , we have ground to claim that's material support for terrorism (they knew of the attack beforehand) and each and every one of the people involved should get life no parole.

Which is what i suspected all along as i claimed before. These people are in contact with the terrorists at all times and help them in various ways, and coordinate protests to help the terrorists.

Zionist conspiracy theories get more and more unhinged every day. Iran, Hezbollah, Israeli intelligence, and the Hamas political wing did not know about it. but students at Columbia did.

Wrong.

this is the law:

A member of the Knesset shall not bear criminal or civil liability, and shall be immune from any legal action, for a vote, or for an oral or written expression of opinion, or for an act he performed – in the Knesset or outside it – if the vote, expression of opinion or act was in the performance of his duties, or for the performance of his duties, as a member of the Knesset.

Without getting too much into legal matters, in the Israeli legal system there is a difference between immunity and privilege. Members of the Knesset enjoy substantive immunity, and therefore almost complete protection for statements made
