My life will not be affected one way or the other no matter who it turns out was vandalizing Tesla. I was simply wondering if I missed an important bit of information in the news. As far as I can see, I haven't. I would agree, though, that it does look like at least one person that vandalized Tesla was on the left. I don't agree that that is evidence that "the left" is vandalizing Tesla, though. "The left" is pretty demonstrably not just one person. It's clearly a group and some organization among the people in that group seems to necessarily be implied in order to ascribe the actions to the group.

For clarity's sake, I've seen no evidence that MAGA is doing it either (whether as a false-flag or otherwise), nor do I think that is an even slightly credible claim. I've not seen anyone other than a random dude I have blocked here make that claim, though, so I couldn't care less about that. And no, even if one MAGA dude went and torched a Tesla, that's still not evidence that "MAGA" is vandalizing Tesla. It's just a dude. It's weird to have to spell this stuff out, but here we are.

Oh, I forgot to LOL at this part of your df post. I promise you I'm active at work more hours per week than you are. I do research until about 10pm on most nights. IN THE LAB. During work business hours I'm frequently doing lab work more hospital related, but after that, I stay and do the research part of my job that I can't get done during the day. I work most weekends, too. See, my job actually matters.

The likely scenario is that Teslas are being torched by people angry at Elon Musk, Trump or both of them. It is pretty evident that this is what is happening.

While right-wing agitators posing as members of other ideologies is certainly a thing (it has been a mainstay of the far right's "race war"-fantasies for a long time), I suspect that no such acts are necessary in this instance. These acts happen just fine without such measures.

The Musk / Trump constellation is incompetent, corrupt and authoritarian on its own, there is no need to concoct fantastic scenarios to excuse vandalism.

I have no idea what Tesla does, but companies self-insure things all the time.
