mrbaseball, good for you. I encourage you on this endeavor very much. Prayer and fasting go together. You will get so much more out of your fast if you pray. The second day is the hardest. You should be too invested and to close to finishing to quit on the last day. Don't be surprised if you have trouble sleeping after the first night, and your body will ache bad.Be careful when
Yeah, my research tells me to break the fast lightly. Plan to probably go with a coupled of scrambled eggs. I am confident I will make it because I can be pretty diciplined when I want to. Only question is wether I will ever want to do it again or not.
only one of these things didn't happen to me in the last ten years:
2015- first time to Vegas and first time drunk
2016- girlfriend
2017- only losing year of poker. busto. impossible, unholy downswing. decided i must be cursed. inspired by St. Paul I fasted and prayed 3 days
(after fasting and praying)
2017- got into crypto
2018- won a major poker tournament
2019- won the world series
2020- drank a bottle of whiskey almost every day during the pandemic; millions of dollars of boeing options expired days away from itm
December 31, 2020- dying from Covid and being a drunk, prayed, and then the Spirit of God moved upon me in the outer darkness and i was miraculously healed
2021- year of slavery in Egypt
2022- powerful conversion to Christ; started having visions, going to church, repented and renounced poker, crypto, and all financial speculation
2023- Jesus appeared to me
2024-2025- walking across America in the name of Jesus Christ

We have a campus in Providence. Many students are afraid to come to campus. I don't know their status, but I assume many could be deported.
One of my students walked from Guatemala by herself into the country. She was 11 years old when she did it.

I don't eat much anyway, usually no more than one meal a day. I think fasting might be easy for me. Didn't eat for two days before and after a colonoscopy a few weeks ago. Didn't bother me at all.
But tell me why you all are doing it.

Why did you not eat for 2 days after?

So many Lulz,
48 hours into my 72 hour fast and it has been much easier than I expected. I am hungry for sure but not to the point where it really bothers me. I think it would be harder had I not done a bunch of 24s last week. The last 24 hours should be a snap!
Happy birthday, if that's what you're going for, John.

72 hours complete! Just broke the fast with 2 scrambled eggs. I will eat something more substancial later tonight.
It was much easier than I had anticipated and is probably something I will do again. In any event I will stay on an aggressive intermittent fasting schedule. Sunday night (30-35 hours in) was the toughest stretch. Monday I was hungry but not annoyingly so and today I wasn't even hungry in the least? I guess you reach a point where the hunger becomes normal and not as noticable. I almost felt guilty eating again π Can't get back in the habit of eating just to eat. All of the intermittent fasting has taught me that not eating isn't that hard and just because its lunchtime doesn't mean you have to eat lunch!
I feel great and it sent my ketone levels through the roof. Suppossedly there are all sorts of great health benefits like cell regeneration , increased immunity, and reduced inflamation associated with fasts like this not to mention the weight loss.
G&Ts aren't eating. Did those help?
No G n' T's! In fact nothing but water and flavored electrolyte power mixed in some of the water. I didn't even take my vitamins or prescription medication. My scripts arent that important (kidney stone stuff) so missing them for a few days is no big deal. I wanted to do it as clean as possible.
GnT's will triumphantly return Friday night. And after lent low carb light beer will also return to the playbook. Haven't had a beer since I was in Vegas in January.
Happy birthday, John!
