According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Riley Greene became the first player in major league history to hit two homers in the ninth inning of a game yesterday.

Legit surprised by this.

This still doesn’t top..

Considering the number of 9th innings that have been played that's pretty shocking.

Judge keeps raising his batting average.

I mean this could only really happen in the top of the 9th inning so it can’t be that shocking

Looks like it's happened 67 other times in MLB history (according to wikipedia anyway).

It could have happened in the bottom of the 9th, sure it's not as likely, but teams put in guys like Kenta Maeda when up 8 runs on the road and two HRs are entirely within the realm of possibility.

it's not that surprising. it's basically impossible to do it in the bottom of the 9th and it's only the 62nd time it's happened total.

I remember Mike Cameron and Brett Boone both doing it in the same inning.

I know this is SEC, but...

Soto with another ho-hum 2 HR game.

He now has 7 HR and is on pace for 30~. Was only a matter of time til he got going.

I say he hits 40.

I say he hits 50, then dons a cape and launches himself toward Philadelphia, where he is shot down by a barrage from the hot dog cannon.

The Rockies are as bad as advertised.

I’m in Colorado for a few days and decided to check out Coors Field and watch game one of double header. It was like watching a little league team

Mize could be really good.

His prospect credentials are about as good as it gets.

what did u think of coors field?

Coors is pretty nice.

I love doubleheaders. I'm mad if I'm not home and then there is a last minute doubleheader I miss out on.

But even I couldn't take watching the Rockies play 2 games in one day.

Really nice. Only problem was most concessions on 300 level near me weren’t open. But the stadium is great.

that was my impression of coors field as well when I went there a long time ago. and I don't remember there being many bad seats to watch the game from.

the whole area around the stadium is great for pre- and post-gaming as well.

too bad the fans there don't have an actual pro team to cheer for these days.

I’ve been to a bunch of major league parks. Coors is right up there. Unfortunately the product on the field obviously impacts the experience.

And I’ll add that I live in buffalo and we have one of the nicer AAA stadiums but man nothing beats the major leagues…..with obvious exceptions
