Las Vegas Fine Dining Thread
Hey,
So I'm compiling a list of places I need to go to, never been before but I have so far been told that we should hit
Bavette’s not being on the list is a travesty.
Bazaar meat was incredible, probably the best steak I’ve ever had if you don’t look at the price tag.
And I agree, leaving out Bavettes at Park is a mistake. It’s both affordable and really really good.
I’ve been to Joe’s twice, I personally didn’t like it but that’s subjective.

Bazaar Meat also has the best starters/sides I’ve ever had at a steakhouse.
Hello all,I have been building a
for best steakhouses in Las Vegas. I haven't visited them all so the list is subjective. I have a top 10 list and then the overall list. I am curious if anyone mentions a location not listed, or has strong good/bad opinion about one here. Also I bet a few have closed/moved that Im not aware of. I realize there is a great wealth ofHey all due respect but that proposed top 10 list is insane. I’m not ready to give you mine at the moment but I can almost guarantee 6 or more of your top 10 won’t be on it.If your goal is to get feedback for a visit, great. If your goal is to publish this somewhere no one will take you seriously w that list.Assuming that is, that you want the best steakhouses, not something gimmicky or some particular vibe or value proposition.
Fun topic though.

I know this list is flawed with errors. Any proposed rankings I'm open for. Just started building it over the past year. I realize there is a lot of knowledge on this forum and wanted to find out what is better out there.
Wonderwes, here’s my tier system in no particular order:
Tier 1: great food service and atmosphere
Bazaar
Cut
Delmonico
Tier 2:
Sw
Prime
Jean Georges
Bavettes
Tier 3
Luger
Andiamo
Oscars
Tbones
Striphouse
- I really like joes, I wouldn’t consider it a steakhouse but a great more casual option.
- haven’t been to niccos, bourbon steak, or dons which might be on this list
Wes,
Capos is not a steakhouse. It’s a red sauce Italian while being serenaded by an old Italian guy singing frank Sinatra too close to your table and making eyes at your wife place.
Balbomb, I would have dons and Barry’s and circus circus above Oscar’s, tbones, and Andiamo.
Toca Madera would be in my tier 1 if you consider it a steakhouse (borderline IMO)
I’ve still never been to Prime, Luger, Barry’s, any of the other downtown steakhouses, Golden Steer.
Hot take - the sea bass at Jean George’s is better than their steaks and the best piece of fish I’ve had anywhere other than Robuchon
Hot take 2 - the crab cakes at T Bones are also better than the steaks.

Yea tier 3s for me are mostly I like a particular element of the steakhouse. Took my wife to Oscar’s on our first date so I might be biased there, tbones I really like their apps and sides, Luger has great steak and the best burger, and striphouse has given us the most phenomenal service.
Barry’s is just a massive miss for me both times I’ve been there, and I was a huge fan of his steakhouse that used to be at the palms.
I'm going to be out in Vegas in early August and I was looking to try something that I haven't been to before. Has anyone been to Pisces at the Wynn? Was wondering if it was worth going or just a reskinned Milos.

I appreciate the feedback from you and everyone else. The Google doc is getting updated. ty.

Good review, food looks top tier

So this is an attempt to recreate what they had with their original seafood restaurant Bartolotta which was one of the great restaurants in the country for years.
Pros: it’s the Wynn so you can trust the food quality, decor, and service will be high.
Cons: it’s a restaurant that is designed by a lot of money guys at the Wynn. They will have the standard overpriced high profit items like caviar, wagyu, steaks. It also appears to want to be something for everyone, seafood pastas, Greek offerings, salmon, tuna, Dover sole, whole lobster.
Basically it has every high profit menu item across many genres. It’s a shame because the Wynn started its great roster of restaurants by hiring supremely talented chefs to work solely in one restaurant under the Wynn brand.
Of course there is always a time and a place for great meal that is expensive and unadventurous, my wife and I are partial to the Eiffel Tower even if it has the most predictable French menu of all time.
Stubborn Seed tonight, first time. Really nice place, hardly anyone there which is a shame because the food and cocktails are great.
Stubborn Seed Old Fashioned - 9/10, like the black tea infused bourbon. $24
Cacio e pepe puffs - 8/10, pickles are 10/10. $13
Smash burger with fried potatoes and a gojuchang dipping sauce - 10/10 for all 3 items. This might be the best burger in Vegas and considering the price with the side included almost certainly the best value if not the best burger. $28.
Smoked beef rib - 9/10. super tender, great sauce, putting everything together with the lettuce wraps/sauce/etc made for a great bite. $65
Peanut butter bar dessert - solid but not standout, 8/10. $14
They also have 20% off for locals. If nothing else, go get the burger.

Those two meat dishes look unbelievable

Totally forgot about two big ones. Mae Dalys is definitely top of tier 2, and carversteak I’ve never been to but people I respect would have them tier 2 or top of tier 3.
Now I need to get to stubborn seed for the burger, if for nothing else to confirm it’s not as good as Lugers or Mae’s burger 😀
Wonderwes, I appreciate that you have Vic & AnthonyÂ’s on the initial list. ItÂ’s my favorite because the food has always been great but I especially like the vibe there. And their cheesecakeÂ… itÂ’s the best!
IMO a steakhouse list is hard to compile and rank because there are so many good ones in Vegas. And things change if we are ranking only the food or also the overall experience.
Example:
I went to Cut once and did not like the vibe (”instagram vibe and people”). However the steak was great and service too. When I told our waiter we were going to Vic on that trip as well, his eyes lit up and he got all excited how great bang for buck you get there on wines (with exact recommendations). Then we ordered those exact wines at Vic a couple days later. So I don’t know how I’d rate Cut since it was memorable and amazing but i’d rather have that food and waiter somewhere else.
Yep atmosphere is definitely important. We used to have a crazy hookup at cut, I think in a town of great steak they make the best, but there is a somewhat sterile atmosphere in there.
Still don’t think any steakhouse can touch carnevino, I still miss those pastas.
What's the latest suggestions for good/worth it tasting menus? Have done Edo (2x) and Sparrow + Wolf earlier this year, and are fans of both. Any others that are must try? Sparrow and wolf is probably top of my budget (with the inkind discounts, those helped).
Bonus if it's at an MGM own casino and I can use my comps/resort credits.
Thanks!
It's been a while , but STK at Cosmo has a good happy hour menu @$7 a plate.

When is an old fashioned not an old fashioned? Cmon black tea should be nowhere near that drink.
Decided on Kabuto, so I hope to deliver some pics on that. Revisiting LPM and Herbs & Rye, but those have been done
Get the Kabuto course, get the sake pairing, order more sushi after. Enjoy!
