2025 WSOP!!
I know itβs early and normally Iβm not excited about WSOP this soon after but dang it, Iβm itching to go back already!

Although GG may be running the event, I figure Caesars will push for the continued use of cash, which would spark more gambling in its casinos.
If they let you deposit PayPal or Luxon for regular gambling chips, I'd gamble more in the casino. Think those electronic deposits are only for WSOP

"Important reminder about internet gambling transactions and Cash Equivalent Fees
In your Credit Card Agreement, under the section titled TYPES OF TRANSACTIONS, Cash Advance section β bets, which include internet gambling transactions, are considered cash equivalent transactions and subject to a Cash Equivalent Fee.
Keep in mind, these transactions begin accruing interest from the transaction date with no grace period."
I wonder if this applies to using credit cards to buy in to poker tournaments. Are they considering it a "bet"?
Most likely it is meant for online casinos where it is legal, but you may want to watch your credit card account for a few days after using your card to buy in.
I went to the Paris main cage yesterday and got verified for the WSOP+ app and set up a tournament account.
The process was very easy and took less than 10 minutes. The app updated my verification status and tournament account money straight away.
I bought a ticket and registered for a tournament on the app and now see my name in the players list. I actually used PayPal, not my TA balance as wanted to see if that worked as well and it did.
Smooth process all round. Thumbs up from me [emoji106]

I've used my Caesars CC for tournament buy in previous wsop's not a problem as I pay it off the next day... Interestingly enough I tried to use my Caesars rewards CC to initially load my WSOP online account they (comenity bank) refused the transaction. I found it odd that they would do that considering it's a rewards card but it was the banks decision... This year I'm using my CC thru Pay Pal to hopefully avoid any added fees.
I'm not sure if you're mistaken or something, but that is just not true. I am able bodied and have made the walk from Aria to WSOP (and back) many times. When not crowded, it takes about 35 minutes; when crowded, around 40 minutes. Unless you have some hidden, straight direct route.
I used to be naive and look at a google map of the Strip and think, "Oh, that's not bad. It's just down the street." But as everyone knows, in Vegas a walk down the Strip is very windy, up and down stairs, up and around construction, and then walking through labyrinth casinos (machines, counters, turns, twists, crowds, etc.).
Iβve never stayed at the Horseshoe, last WSOP for me was at the Rio. How does horseshoe compare to that? I imagine itβs still quite a ways to walk to the tournament area . Just curious to hear what you guys think.
Horshoe Ballroom - when compared to βcasino to Rio ballrooms walkβ- is a stones throw away.
Staying at HS and playing in Paris - ballrooms is slightly longer walk. But still shorter than Rio.
*Horseshoe. Not whore shoe
Is it better to stay at Paris ?
In regard to tournament play, no. You will be bounced from one room to another mid-tournament or could start your MTT in either of the rooms depending on the day/time.
So either HS or Paris will work. And the preference would be personal taste and finances at the end of the day.

A lot closer to 15 than 35 through vdara, then diagonally across inside the Bellagio (a little faster through the convention center when open) then the bridge across the strip to the horseshoe.

That sort of fee usually only shows up on your monthly statement. It would be where they charge you interest.

Probably, but not by as much as you think. I paced Rio off once and it was a little over 400 steps. If you're at the HS room elevators it's quite a few steps over to Paris and into the convention center where the WSOP is set up. Thankfully the convention center is at the north end of the hotel.

If we're being realistic and not just trying to win a bet, from the middle of Bellagio, getting across the bridge, into the Horseshoe, and to the HS convention center, there's no way I can make even that segment in 15 minutes, nor could I when I was healthy as a horse.
ok, i guess i will ignore all the times i timed myself from vdara
Did the WSOP do the same satellites as they are doing this year? If so does anyone know how many runners those would attract? Also, are they still doing the single table sattys?

The bed is comfy, there's a fridge but no coffee maker. Just allow extra time for elevators -- often times only a few seem to be in service. I like that there is a food court; I am not a gourmand.

The HS ballroom is right down the hall from the elevator bank. With no traffic, itβs a 2-minute walk. However, during breaks that hallway gets really congested and itβs closer to 5 minutes just to get to the elevators. Then hereβs usually a line there since they only have half the elevators working typically.
Iβd say, if playing in the HS ballroom and staying at HS, a player can get to their room on break and maybe have 5-7 minutes there to chill.
The Paris ballroom is about twice as far from the HS elevators as the HS ballroom. So to get there during the break, itβs really just a for a pit stop.
Nope walkway to bellagio then through bellagio to the corner across from Horseshoe.
I'm at vdara this year, I assume use walkway from vdara that goes through the cosmo, exit cosmo on the strip, cross at street level by PH and then straight to Paris?
I would cross LVB from cosmo on the 1st floor instead of the ground floor. Take the bridge over to the miracle Mile/PH and down the escalator to LVB. Then walk down LVB and into Paris.

Didnβt read this closely enough - missed the βinto the HS convention centerβ part, when I did time myself it was to the front door.
Not a huge difference. Paris is normally a bit more money, but when I made my reservations Paris was actually cheaper. Who knows why? Thing I didn't like about The Horeshoe is when you come down the elevators and exit through the gaming area, there's a big smoking section right there. I know this isn't a big deal for a lot of people, but I have asthma and walking through the fog there (you also hit it when walking from the elevators to Paris) was pretty bad.
Both hotels give you a mini-fridge in the room which is a great bonus if you're staying a while and want to save money and time with packing your own snacks.
