--FWIW I voted for Biden in 2020. He was obviously very far along the path to dementia even then, but I figured establishment Dems would just run the WH behind the scenes, and this would still be preferable to Trump. And this was more or less what happened, although the executive was definitely way more far left wing than one would have predicted.
However, as things progressed (as these things do) the fact the Dem party even considered allowing him to run again in 2024 was very laughable.
I watched a Dodger game last night with Kershaw pitching, and I would say last nights game is a pretty good comparison to Trump. Kershaw definitely has lost his fastball, but he was still able to eat up some innings at the big league level.
Trump today has obvious beginning stage cognitive decline, but he is not even close to where Biden was in 2020, much less 2024.
Anyone that doesn't realize Biden, even in a dminished mental state, is a billion times more competent than Donald Trump is a fing idiot.

Focusing on Trump's cognitive decline seems misplaced. Has he declined? I'm sure he has. Almost everyone his age has. But cognitive decline is about #400 on a ranked list of reasons why Trump should not be president. Trump has always been profoundly unfit for the presidency. As I've said before, if Trump had been elected in 1992, he would have been almost this bad. Maybe worse in some respects because he would have had more energy.
No doubt. It doesn't matter much to me. He can't get much dumber than he already is. Might even be a bonus in that people around him try to shield him from things.

Why would quote something positive from someone who had some really bad qualities? Whether you realise it or not, naming who you're quoting implies that the quote has merit simply because Ghandi said so.
