There should be a non political mechanism to discharge mentally incapacitated people from their offices. That includes judges of course as well as senators and the like.

No it isn't. It's someone giving a quote in a lofty manner and then someone else pointing out that the person quoted wasn't big on black peeps and liked to sleep naked next to kids.

But one wouldn't say for example "Hey, as Adolf Hitler said, "What luck for the rulers that men don't think"! The myopic part is that Gandhi is a huge anticolonial figure, despite his issues, including anticolonialisn in South Africa. There’s a reason he’s being quoted and it’s not his racism or sexism.
