It's long past time there was some consideration on what beleifs are
They are only fixated on truth/reality for those (I include myself) who find false beliefs highly dissatisfying. Many people may be far more credulous (which would mean they aren't so bothered about avoiding false beliefs) - they get to believe in astrology, homeopathy, an afterlife etc etc etc
