2025 Formula 1 Season
2025 Formula 1 discussion thread...
the only appropriate response would be - 'I am sorry... FOR YOU!'
Hopefully that forces his father's hand to get rid off him - he can't stay around in this modern era of F1 when everyone is so competitive and the sport is so popular.
I also can't see Max sticking around at Red bull - the only thing keeping them competitive without Newey is that power unit and they are losing that next year and I don't hold out much hope for the Ford engine. It will become the new Renault engine.
I thought Russell’s post-race comments were very interesting. He had every right to be angry but he seemed more disappointed and sad that Max again proved he’s a psychopath.
Max is off the charts. He is like a spoilt little kid. I'll be glad to see the WDC taken off him and most likely by Piastri. Lando looks done at these big traditional circuits - he might have Piastri's measure on the street circuits but how many of those circuits are left?
Well, I disagree. It should have been much worse. It was a pointless, dangerous action. For me, I would have preferred to see an immediate black flag for not just causin a collision but intentionally causing a collision.
Yeah that sort of action is a DNQ - it wasn't even like he was sending one up the inside and lost control. That was an intentional hit as pay back.

he is literally... Dangerous on the track.
His is not the first time an uber rich person was invited into a seat in the sport at a mid/top tier level, as a mater of fact, formula 1 has a LONG history of allowing money into the sport in terms of have a seat on the track... it's almost baked into the DNA of the sport.
there is also several historical events by where a rich person met their demise or contributed to the demise of others... I can name probably 5-10 times where this is a truism.
What makes Stroll dangerous? Lets compare him to people like Lawson, Verstappen even Hamilton and the crashes they caused. Stroll doesn't deserve to be in F1 but comparing him with pay drivers of old is nonsense.
Just give some examples where Stroll was more dangerous than some of the things the drivers I mentioned did. You made the claim. Maybe try to back it up. Stroll got a podium on merit which is why comparing him to pay drivers in the old days is dumb. Both claims are different.

I think it is more comparatively speaking - the drivers of this era are so much better than the era 20 years ago and Stroll is clearly in a class below the rest of the field. And that also means he is prone to a few errors including off the start and puts other drivers in danger that they would not otherwise if Aston Martin actually hired a competent driver.
Maybe Iām being optimistic, but I think the way the grid is set up, we might get a fun race tonight
George - Max front row should be fun
George: "I have got a few more points on my license to play with"
That is probably the reason for Lulu's damage... hedgehog murderer.
Lance Stroll... 10 second penalty, how surprising.
Norris shooting himself in the foot again
Nice cheeky move of Russell behind the SC, slamming on the brakes
For the rest, it was not much of an exciting race
LanDoh
Lol Norris - that was a move from a driver under pressure from a team-mate that has an advantage on him on traditional circuits. I knew Piastri was going to have an advantage at Canada and will again at Austria (as they really are not too dissimilar tracks with the number of straights).
Okā¦so itās a very tough and highly competitive field and there are many winners and no real losers butā¦I think Carlosā girlfriend is #1
I think most teams maximized their results today, with the exception of Red Bull and Mercedes. Oscar giving Lando the business was fun to watch.
Part of me wonders what Red Bull 2026 looks like. Horner, Marko, Max, and Yuki could all be gone.
Seems like about 5 races in a row where Ferraris are just out there running laps, never anyone else around them.

Today's performance must give them hope going into the British GP. They might still be behind McLaren but they looked good to be the second fastest car and it seems that their floor update has worked very well for them.
actually feel a little sorry for Max (I must have the flu or something!). tough way for his race to end and that now definitely seems to rule him out of championship contention, which was already a huge long shot
I hate the F1 headlines in my news feed.
Headline:
"Red Bull to make shock driver change for British GP as public apology issued after disastrous Austrian race"
Actual News:
Tsunoda apologized to the team for his poor showing during the post-race interviews, some rookie driver, Arvid Lindblad, will be in Yuki's car during P1.
blocking channel.
Max wasn't even mad. He has given up on this year already. Which makes him even more dangerous, because he will go for day successes even harder now the he doesnt' need to worry about WDC.
F1 movie was pretty meh I thought.
Standard sports movie fare with no surprises. Not offensive and it kept me watching, but nothing special at all. 6/10. The kind of thing youād feel ok about watching on the plane but you donāt need to pay to see at the movies.
One horrific logic/reality fail at the end too
